Earning money is the first step to start your stable. Meanwhile you should decide what you want to start breeding for? Do you want to do any serious breeding at all? If so, what are your goals? AD, SD, color, breed? I've been ready a lot of blogs and guides about matching and culling to get a good start with my SD programm. What you gonna breed for can also determin how big your show string has to be. On my side account I'm doing SD and the broods or breeding fees are way lower than AD, so I just need a small show strong of 100-200 horses. On this account I'm doing AD so I need more show horses (I used to have 1500 at the best of times). Once you've established your show string and learned how to show with profit, you should try and get a premium membership. Premium gives you access to speciality shows (that's basically a forth weekly showing meaning you get more income each week) and straws (very neat if you don't like the hassle of getting an ABLB live cover). Once I started out breeding I also had a look at the ABLB and the LBs to get an idea on what to look for when buying my breeding stock and how a good horse should train and gain bars. I know that was a lot. Feel free to pm me if you have more questions :)
