Is there a way to know what horses are Competitive and which ones are not? I have my Barn Manager to "Show Competitive Horses Only". Since she is only "allowed" to manage 200 horses only and I have WAY over 200 horses, how do we know which ones to "pick" for her to manage and show?
horses aren't either competitive or not their whole life, it's just the horses who are skilled enough in their level to do better than other horses, so as they level up it changes. If a horse has 2 bars in each stat per level(a lvl 4 horse should have 8 bars for each discipline's stats) it's safe to say it'll show well that week.
I have 1400 geldings, and if they place top 6, I show them again in 5 weeks. If they place 7th or under, I try again the next week. I would definitely recommend reading the show guides! That's how I learned everything
I really think the Barn Manager takes too much time to fool with unless you only have 200 horses. I can have all 300+ of my horses trained and shown in the time it would take me to figure out who to put on the BM and take horses off and put them back on one...at...a...time. I just show by hand from the barns. When your horse levels up, show it 5 weeks later. Show all the green ones the rest of the week. Then the next week enter anyone who finished 8th or 9th plus the green ones plus the 5 week ones. You'll get the hang of it.
