After much disscussion I learned that the infamous "three foal rule" doesn't actually exist. So my question is, how come my WWW x WWW svenned ABLB matches come out PPP so often? I match carefully and well and use items.. just trying to understand! Edited at May 12, 2024 06:39 PM by Florestä

The three foal rule is just myth? i mean i didn't think that it was completely true but thought it was in part. Thought that RF increased for others... Wondering this too now! Edited at May 12, 2024 08:16 PM by Aussie Stables

Yes, I brought it up in chat earlier and apparently it's been a theory that's been shot down by mods and Eve many times. No one seemed to know why it happens 🤷♀️ Aussie Stables said: The three foal rule is just Myth? i mean i didn't think that it was completely true but thought it was in part. Yeah, maybe, I just get confused as to why it never happens with the first three matches I do each month.. When I brought it up in chat both some older players and mods got defensive and things got heated pretty quickly.

It's not necessarily that it's a "3 foal rule"-more so that it is highly, highly unlikely to breed more than 1-2 WWW a month. And, as people usually do their best matches first, you would see those WWW in the first few matches which is what led to the "3 foal" assumption. Usually people are referring to breeding WWW when they refer to breeding "good" foals after already doing a bunch of matches.

I've seen the three foal rule shot down, as well, but... It may not be an official thing, but if I use more than three Svens in a year, even with LB x LB WWW x WWW matches, anything after three or four ends up being no higher than EEE. I do get some foals that end up being higher than that later on, it's definitely possible (I have a pasture bred WWW colt that came out of nowhere earlier this week), but for the year I saved my best match until my fifth or sixth of the year (I was waiting on the straw), I ended up with a top ABLB x top ABLB, Svenned PEE colt, out of a mare who had never thrown less than a WW combo, and had two WWW's with the same stud. I know that it isn't an official thing, but I do have to wonder if the RF hits harder after the first few foals, for some reason. Bear in mind, I'm 100% sure that Eve and the mods are telling the truth, but it just seems strange. Maybe poor Sven just gets tired on RO day, and decides to lay down and have a nap?
