Solar - I've only done one capture party but I basically filled my bravery herd on that one alone xD hoping the next party will be better on ratings though. I could use some luck there

I thought I remembered getting a ton of PPP horses in the past with capture parties. Now it's mostly SSS ones lol

Snow - I had capture three PPP today. Gave myself 5 horses with +10 map to capture. Got a PEP and a PES... everything else were below lol

But seeing as we can boost by +20 during capturing and still capture sub-pars and averages, the range must be larger than 20

Sven gives a +2 boost to all of a horse's traits. There is a hidden range of values behind each rating, we just don't know what they are.

Question- does using svens affect ratings or training? Or both?

Sometimes it's helpful to take a step back and breed up where your weaker but you have to take baby steps first.

it's really not any different than when it was just EEEs and ones would be born on the very weak end of things.

I breed color and Ratings and it has been a slow process but I am getting better. I have a www stud that hasn't produced any www horses but has produced several EEE+ color rarity 1 of less than 100 which meets both of my stable goals. Sometimes you have to set smaller goals first or not be so rigid in your goals if your goal is to produce www and its a www then you met your goal.

So I joined just about a week or two ago, and I was wondering if there’s a better way to train horses? Like does it help to both train a horse and Enter it into shows, or do the shows not affect the horses’ training at all?
Also any and all newbie tips would be greatly appreciated :)

It really doesn't matter. It is better to train because then they level up and that can mean more money if you show correctly 😉

Shows don't effect training in fact it's the opposite. Training helps horses in shows as it helps them to level and get back into earning you money.

Horses usually need at least 4-6 training sessions before they will start to earn you money. At least the S/P/E rated ones, lower ratings will need more training sessions ( sub Pars even up to 12-16 training sessions ) .

Additionally it will depend on the way you train them.
If you have show horses that you train in one discipline only ( = single Discipline / SD ) they will likely earn money a bit faster than all discipline (AD) trained horses.

You will probably want your breeding stock to train in AD - because then you will be able to determine their stronger and weaker traits, which helps for matching studs and mares.

Every player plays a bit different and each way is ok, so in the beginning it is harder to find your own way - but at the end it´s just about fun ;)
