So I am heading traveling in August, and most probably will not have the possibility to use Internet so much.. How have you guys handled this kind of situations, do you just let your stable be and hope to be able to log in every now and then to feed the horses and train everyone?

You can either try to get on as often as possible just for feeding, paying riders and training, as this would work from any phone in a free hotel WLAN, too ( which I would suggest )

Another option is to hire a stable hand or ask a friend to take care of your account.
But this would include the risk that the "good friend" can do with your account whatever they want to do.
Most times this works - but there is always a risk!

Stock up on EB's in July and leave it lay for August.
