I saw that a bunch of the top ABLB studs that were EEE are now WWW? Why have their ratings changed?

Because a new rating was added. World Class

So does it just switch on its own?

That honestly does not answer my question. I know a new rating was added. But why they changed rating? I do not know. Is it because they were very strong EEEs?

WWWs are the EEEs that were stronger than the average EEE. Some of the existing horses were switched. Some have WWE, EWW, WEW, WEE. It depends in what they were the strongest. All WWW means that they were the top. Edited at August 18, 2019 06:27 PM by McSmith Ranch

The top section of the hidden stats for EEE have been changed to WWW. If the horse was in that range, it also changed to W's. It's as simple as that.

Maybe this will make sense - Pretend each rating has a threshold for points that determine it's rating. For example, (just pretend numbers) Sub - 100 Average - 200 Superb - 300 Premium - 400 Elite - 500 World Class - 600
When elite was still the top rating, a horse could have been bred that had say, 610 points for Dressage. It still would have been considered elite because that's the best there was at the time. Now, the new rating exists and though the horse's stats remain unchanged, it has a new rating because it's has already met the requirements for it.
