His training is pretty good but could be better and his mom being EWW with a nonLB dad, I don't think it would be worth it to just do EWW+
LB potential isn't high, especially with how saturated SH are

I have 4 of these cross-country stallions, they are 2 sets of full brothers. I love all of them but I need to toss at least two whether I sell them or geld them. They all seem to train the same, in their freshie year they never threw a WC, so I want to use their genetic test as a tiebreaker. I not only breed for WC SD horses I also breed for color.

So as a colour breeder what stallion is the most appealing? From straight looks, I like Kryptonite and Jack but if they are not going to pass down their patterns to their offspring it doesn't really matter

When having color as the deciding factor, it is helpful to understand heterozygous and homozygous in relation to how color traits will pass down.

So for example, a TOto horse is heterozygous for Tobiano, meaning it carries 1 copy of the Tobiano gene and 1 non-Tobiano gene. This means each foal has a 50% chance of inheriting the Tobiano gene from him/a 50% chance of inheriting the normal, non-Tobi gene from him.
A TOTO horse is homozygous for Tobiano, meaning it has 2 copies of the Tobiano gene and every single foal will inherit 1 copy from him.
Many color breeders aim for homozygous as then you are guaranteed that a foal will inherit that color/pattern.

So for Jack, he has a 50% chance of passing down Dun, a 50% chance of passing down Silver, a 100% chance of passing down Tobiano, and a 50% chance of passing down Leopard (as well as PATN-2). He is positive for Pangere but this is not genetic and does not pass down.

Oxford has the exact same genes and % chances as Jack.

Kyptonite has a 50% chance of passing down Dun, a 50% chance of passing down Tobiano, a 50% chance of passing down Lp (100% chance of PATN-2).

Ninth Cloud has the exact same genes and % chances as Kyptonite.

So with these results, Jack and Oxford are the two preferrable color studs based on genetics because they are both homozygous for tobiano, meaning every foal they produce will be tobiano. Although Kryptonite and Ninth Cloud are homozygous for PATN-2, it only shows up if paired with Leopard.

Hope this helps!

Thank you so much for the explanation! That was simple enough for me to understand, thank you!
