Hi, I recently started using the BM with my breeding horses as well as some level 3+ geldings. But ever since buying the geldings, my show profit has been even further in the negatives and I've been making less than entry fees. My BM uses AD riders and the horses show in AD, I reassign my horses' riders daily when appropriate, and she's set on show competitive horses only. I pay my riders and train them as soon as I can. What am I doing wrong?

How long have you had the geldings? I find when any new rider is assigned to a horse that is less than level 6 that it takes them about 3 to 4 weeks to start showing in the ebs again. Also are you showing the early days of each week? I found showing Fri,Sat,Sun to be less profitable than showing Tues,Wed,Thurs Edited at July 14, 2023 08:44 AM by Fossil's Dreams

Part of the problem I see, is that many of your PPP geldings, should really be training/showing in just one discipline. Look at the training bars. Those with high bars in Strength & Speed, would do better in XCountry. The 2 yr old, shows a talent for Dressage. The sub-W-P would do best in XC as well. The geldings who aren't showing any strength in a specific discipline, ( all bars are even) should probably keep training in AD until they do. Breeding stock should always be trained in AD and track their training in the remarks section from wk 4 to at least week 10-12. The ones Keep all your riders training in all disciplines however.
