You don't need to do a gene test to complete the quest. If you breed one, it'll automatically complete. The tobiano patterns for homo tobiano are different from those for hetero tobiano. You can see the different variations here. |

If the horse also has Sabino (especially SbSb) or another white pattern it can make it difficult to see the Tobi pattern to tell for sure, in which case gene test if you want to. |
