To start this off Ive never really known what to in terms of showing. I've tried forms and the help from other members but it just doesnt seem to work or stick. This being said Ive missed out on a couple awards and such like HOTY. I have this PON that has quailified for HOTY two months in a row now and I dont know how to help him succeed. Ive checked the FAQ and the game guide (maybe im just blind) but I cant find anything in terms of HOTY. HOTY breeding and showing make sense of course, its common sense but Overall doesnt make any sense to me.
This is the boy im talking about. Id be more then happy to take any tips or pointers to help him or to just learn for the future.

At the bottom of the HOTY rankings is this information: Horse Of The Year - Overall Requirements: - Stallions, Mares, and Geldings are Eligible.
- Must have at least 5 foals Total.
- Must have at least 1 foal in the Current Year.
- Age is between 5-17.
- Horse can only win once.
- Horse must be Bravery Rated.
- Formula: 50% HOTY Showing Points and 50% HOTY Breeding Ranking
- Only the #1 Horse will win the Award. No other placings will win an Award.
So just keep training him to get him placing well in shows and breed him to the best mares you can find. I think the rest just depends on how much competition he's got. I think the Overall score is his rank in the showing points and his rank in breeding taken together. Does he generally do well in shows? I see he came in 39th in breeding. If he's doing well in shows he might need to father better offspring to bring his scores up. On the other hand, I see 10 training sessions on an 8 year old horse. Even if he were 3 when captured he probably could have more training sessions by now. Are you training every week? Because it's training, not showing, that levels up your horse.
