They probably suck though. I have mostly quest mares in the PPP-EEP range and some show gelds. You are probably right it's got something to do with the amount of breeders

Also relative to how large (100 people) the leaderboards are, I don't think there's a gigantic pool of people to be on them. I think there's most people I've even seen online is like 350. So it kinda makes sense

You do have quite a lot of AAs alive that you've bred, I suppose those stats add up

I'm on the KNN and AA leaderboards somehow. No clue how that's supposed to make sense

Yeah I think that's how it works Min. Makes sense, at least in my case

Yeah I think its the colour/gelds/random keepers that drag LB placings down as it's done on the average. If you only breed a few high quality foals a year you'd probably do better than someone breeding 10 WWWs but also 600 PPPs they keep back

Yeah that's what I mean by promptly. A month vs a year is quite significant 😅

Fodder foals get deleted during the following RO. So they stick around for a montg

But fodder foals get released/deleted quite promptly don't they? Whereas geldings stick around for like.. a year

hay or geldings in pastures? April 6, 2024 05:13 PM

I've been hovering over the idea of stopping my hay production and turning my pastures into gelding storage. I'm asking opinions on the matter as I am unsure on the price of hay, as I haven't bought any for a while, and if it'll benefit more from geldings or supplying my own hay.
^
edit:
I currently have 2 pastures full of trainees but if I was to convert all the pastures to geldings I'd have 700 in pastures and 925 stalled horses needing hay.

I think it is safe to change one pasture to geldings. You will need a few round bales, but not many. If it does becomes expensive then thin out the show horses and put back to hay. It's good to thin out the least profitable show horses every few months anyway.

Thanks, I've decided to convert the one pasture into geldings as you've recommended :)
