PP homozygous silver quest - gene test needed to complete?

I'm trying to move on with my quests, and since I'm stuck with two capture quests at once (capture 200 and capture 300), I thought the "breed a double Premium homozygous Silver foal" quest, which popped up after the "Geld 300 colts" quest was finished, would be easier. Well, I've bred over 50 foals over the past two days, had them approved, and I'm still stuck with that quest.

I would have thought that one of the 50-plus foals would be homozygous for Silver, so now I'm wondering - does the foal have to be gene-tested in order to complete the quest?

Nope. If the horse is homozygous silver and a PP combo, the quest will complete upon breed approval.

Thanks -- that's what's always happened before.I thought this one required an additional step.

I guess I've just had some bad luck. I even bred a Premium Brindle in less time.
