I have a straw ad where I had added text and the horses page link.
Each time is puts the <a href etc code with the < / a > at the end. When I click submit it shows a small box image with an X in it.
On my edit attempts one of the horses listed had it's photo correctly showing up and I noticed the html tags were missing on that particular one. So, I go to EACH horses link and delete all the code, so it is JUST the link again, then I click submit. Another horses image showed up, like the former one without the html tags, so I erase the ones with the tags.... it is not working as it should OR I am doing something miserably wrong!
So, I decided to JUST put one horses page link, without any other text. Nope, just that "X" image box showed up.
I went so far as to pull up some html guides and the tags the game is assigning are exactly what is supposed to be used, but since I am NOT a coding guru this is kicking my hindquarters!
Please, please help me figure this out. I JUST want to do a simple straw ad (Actually had one, but it got deleted while editing via my phone - and I had issues of this same nature on the original ad)

I just now deleted everything I had and placed one horses page link, clicked submit.
There's that "Image X box" .... I did exactly as you instructed and it did not work.

Just for a follow up....
I have managed to get ONE link to work by adding the link, clicking on "remove code" - then it worked - oddly enough!
So, I decided to ADD text below the working link - care to guess what happened???? Nope, the link didn't work and I got the entire <a href code showing with the barn link.
So, I deleted the tags in front of and behind the barn link, clicked on "remove code" and of course it takes out ALL the spaces of all the text and smushes it all together.
I then go separate everything again, as it needed to be, and clicked, again, "remove code" .... The link is working now.
So, this brings me to the question of: Why can I not add a link and put text and simply click "submit" and it work?
IF there is not a glitch somewhere, shouldn't that work, per your instructions above?
IF there is something I am missing, please inform me, and I will happily do whatever it takes to be able to do it. |

You can't have [url=link]Text Here[/url] like we used to in the old forum. It can only be the link itself. As in copy/paste exactly what is shown in the url.
So copy/paste url link exactly how you posted Million Dollar Man in your straw thread and add text somewhere else. There shouldn't be a need for Remove Code.
If this is exactly how you're doing it, then I'm not sure how to fix it. I don't do code lol. |

You may only use the link as it is shown in the adressline at the top of your browser.
Maybe you can do the trick and just copy/paste every text to a simple editor. Then copy again from the editor and paste it into the forum.
This will prevent you to copy any codes.

Coldwater, I didn't use any codes, the game automatically assigned the <a href code and for whatever reason it just was not working as Eve described it is supposed to. I "thought" maybe it's because I'm on my phone doing this, so yesterday fired up the laptop, and from there all of yesterday's attempts/posts were done.
I now see that Kuewi edited my post with the Wild EEE TB .... and the link is working, but it wasn't yesterday. I am curious what was edited to <span style="font-size: 15px;">make it work (I wanna know so I can do it lol) <span style="font-size: 15px;">Like you, I am NOT a coder, so my attempts to correct things gives me a lot of frustrations, reading the "html guide", looking at others threads seeing theirs work, and me banging my head against a cyber wall ;) <span style="font-size: 15px;">
