Hi everyone! I have a question regarding horses that have 1-2 training sessions under their belts and showing. I entered one of my horses into a show and realized my whole barn is either foals, or geldings that have 1-2 training sessions.
This raised a few questions for me: 1) Does showing them with that much training influence how the bars will look come week 4-5? 2) Should I bother showing them knowing they have that many training sessions? Should I wait until week 4? 3) Does showing even influence training at all?
Maybe I'm thinking too much like a real horse owner considering that shows for green horses is a form of training? But, nonetheless, I'm curious if there's any correlation.

Do not show a horse with only 1-2 training sessions, they are not in the money at that time and will lose money. Showing them does not influence how their future weeks/bars of training will look. You want to show a horse when it has two bars for each level it is at. So if you have a level three horse, you want it to have six bars for each trait in order for it to start placing well. Hope this helps :)
