Awwww bless him, he's just trying to enrich their lives xD What breed is he? Patterdales are known for being super clever, which is definitely the case with Norm. Paddy must have been stuck in the birth canal for a while I think bless him. He does have his moments but getting stuck somewhere with a little blank stare is his trademark

I am very familiar with the 2 braincells thing! I was always wondering why people claim my breed is stupid while I had only girls. they are very smart, downright cunning. Now I have one male and he's the biggest himbo. In fall he keeps carrying around hedgehogs he finds in the yard, like some sort of world's shittiest rollercoaster!

Norm did help me herd 60ish ram lambs every day for a while though so he does have his talents. Actual herding isn't particularly one of them but he tried his best and didn't bite or chase anything so I was happy xD

Haha I wish- they're utterly useless xD I was hoping Norm would show an interest in ratting so I could use him on the farm I worked at and in my own paddock, but he wouldn't say boo to a goose. In fairness he did grow up with a hamster so it's sort of understandable. Paddy's a little bit more "kill-y" but he's got 2 functioning braincells on a good day so unless something is presented to him he's useless haha

those are pretty uncommon breeds, Min. Are you using them for hunting, pest control or any kind of dog sports?

I'd bosh out the 3 and skip the 20 San lol. At least you know it'll definitely only take 3 goes now

the dilemma of having 2 quests wanting you to complete 3 and 20 exploring rides without spooking, while also having a bulk of freshly captured horses you DO want to spook!

Norm's a Patterdale terrier, Paddy is an accidental mix lol but he's 50% Patterdale, 25% Lakeland and 25% Jack Russell

Ugh just having the biggest mind blank over whether the dog walker comes at 12 or 1 xD I'm going to plump for 1 since Norm's currently snoring next to me and not looking out the window but if there's a knock on the door in 10 minutes I'm going to feel like a right tit

yeah, if you imagine how many patterns PON can have, it was quite rude. Especially since I think I caught him in one of the "unusual colours realms"

There are many ways to play this game but the two main goals are ratings and/or color breeding.
It's understandable that you want to buy every pretty pony you see but this is pretty bad for your wallet

❥ Do NOT capture!
Whaaat? You can capture wild horses? Awesome!
Yes it is! But the chances are low that you get something worth keeping, besides it's pretty pricey!
You shouldn't capture horses until you can afford to lose a couple of bucks. Until then get yourself some nice horses from the market.

❥ Get PPP Show Geldings (you can buy colts too and geld them yourself)
Showing your horses is the best way to get money. You can show any horse; foals, mares, stallions but geldings (and high ratings) will train up faster
and the higher the level of your horse; the more money they get from winning shows! You can enter a horse three times a week in shows.

You can put mares on Cycle Suppressant at the vets office to get the same training effect as geldings, but this costs money and your mare won't be able to breed that month.

❥ Every monday the game starts a new week. This means you can feed / train and show your horses again!
Your horses won't starve if you don't feed them, but you will be unable to show them.

❥ Regulary check the contest forum
Many players and clubs(us too!) hold contests or giveaways now and then. Contests vary from art to naming to trivia's ect ect or just plain giveaways!

Other Tips

Harvest Hay
In a 100 acre pasture with 20 quality you get 6000 haybales or 200 round bales

Use all discipline riders:
Each rider can train / ride / show up to 10 horses.
So especially for newer stables it is important to safe money and keep the weekly costs as low as possible.

You can do this by using only all discipline riders and assign as many horses to them as possible. So you keep the costs low and they still earn a pretty penny, because riders count less than 10% in the show results.
Using single discipline riders with only 1-5 horses assigned to each cost way too much for a new stable!

When you start off your stable, you should try to get e.g. one level 4 rider and buy / assign up to 10 level 4 horses to him.
You can find such horses quite cheap ( <5k ) in the horse sales.
It does not matter if those horses are mares / geldings / studs and it does not matter which ratings they have as long as they have the right level and are cheap.
Additional you can hire a level 5 rider and assign up to 10 level 5 horses to him.

Stay away from capturing in this time!
They are only level 2 and take up to 6 weeks training before they will start earning money for you!
99% of the captured horses are lower than SSS rated and will take 8-12 weeks before they earn any money!

Then show and train those leveled horses for 1-2 months to build up decent funds for your stable.
If you have soem PPP mares among the show squad, you can brood them out in these first months.

After some weeks you should be able to buy another barn, build up more show stock and earn even more money to get you some really decent and high rated & colored breeding stock!

And once you have more than 3 barns and are settled, you can start to use single discipline riders, if you still want to!
