Is anyone able to explain federations to me. I have read the guide that is on the federation page but still do not understand. I have one horse entered but can't seem to get any points. I have asked in the chat but it seems others are also confused/not quite sure.
If someone can explain them to me and how they work that would be amazing. Some questions I have are,
Can SD horses be entered or is it AD
How do you win points (is it like futurities)
What is the best way to start/what horses do you enter

Did you check that old post already?
You can enter horses for any discipline - either Eventing or SD. If entered for AD, the horse needs to show in each of the 3 disciplines per week to gain points at all. You win points in any normal show if the horse would place in 1st-4th.
Best way is to enter horses at the beginning of a month. Do not change the horse/rider combo or you have to re-enter them and they start from scratch.
