The following are some ideas for stock image sources: DeviantART - search the Resources & Stock Images category Unsplash Gratisography Reshot Creative Commons You can also find stock images on:
Flickr Photobucket Like DeviantART, not all images uploaded to these sites are free-use stock! Please make sure you have permission from the uploader/image owner. These sites provide high-quality stock for paid subscribers:
Adobe images istockphoto Shutterstock
Every time you find a stock image you want to use, do a reverse image search. If the picture pops up all over the web, don't use it. It was likely stolen and uploaded to the stock site. Taking this easy extra step will help ensure that your art does not get taken down. It's no fun to have your art removed after you spend hours making it.
In addition, make sure that the stock you have found is allowed to be used here on HEE. Sometimes people provide stock that they specifically do not want people using on other sites, for financial gain (even with fake game currency), etc. Always read and follow the stock provider's rules for use of their images!
As always, make sure you are following HEE's art usage and crediting rules when making and uploading your art: https://horseeden.com/forums.php?f=16&t=43
