Hello! So im really trying to make my hair look nice and this is the best I've done for a long while, any advice on improvements is greatly appreciated as im still very much learning ❤️ (The mane hasn't been updated yet as im focusing on the tail before progressing because i find them easier 😊) The top of the tail will be sorted before moving on. The top of the tail looks very well done, however the overall shape of the bottom part of the tail could use improvement. Considering where the horse is placed, and the pose the horse is in, the tail should have more of a shape like the original stock. Consider the flyaways; how they move, where they're placed, and how often they appear. I also suggest taking more of an off-white coloring in the hair as the shadows in the tail currently look a little too dark for the horse. *EDIT: Adding on, I think you should look where the light is in your background, and add highlights and shadows based on that, rather than where the hair falls behind the legs.
