Lucky Ranch said: Can I just say that this is heccin' amazing? ^^ . I also have a question :D How did you learn art? (if you dont mind me asking)
I started out taking drawing lessons in elementary school (mostly colored pencils and acrylic paint) and was big on doodling during class lol. Then I begged my parents to buy me a small drawing tablet for digital drawing and did my first (very crappy) photomanipulations for a year or two. After that, I lost interest and only resumed manips this year. However, I did take some graphic design courses a few years ago. That was a pretty dry explanation, haha, but I think what was so vital was learning drawing fundamentals (including the boring stuff like line quality, basic perspective, basic color theory, shading). And also important—particularly for fast improvement—is to develop your eye for art, as in your ability to evaluate and critique art by yourself and others.

Constructing backgrounds is so much fun! I'm trying to quickly get my entry in for the myth contest and used a lot of the clone tool and warping. Here's a WIP! https://i1.lensdump.com/i/j45bqZ.jpg Hoping the falcon head will turn out less... uncanny valley lol. Also, kinda sad that the cloth and headdress thing have covered up my cool 3-horse frankenstein.

Woah that's freakin awesome! when you get the chance, do you think you could tell/show us how you find the pieces to make those splendid backgrounds?? I'd love to learn a thing or two about making pieces more magical lol. The only time I've really done something to a background was in my tiny horse rumble entry XD

I'll try to include text explanations for future pieces! Unfortunately merged the background to cut down file sizes.
