| @shadow Call the electrically company. The company around here fixes it faster if people call it in. Even with automatic signal sending boxes on the buildings. O.o |

| I used to work as a show secretary for major horse shows and had more than a few crazy people but I think my favorite was the lady who wanted to pay me but didn't like any of the options. Didn't want to pay by card because I could steal the number, didn't want to pay the 3% convenience fee, and didn't want to pay then because her trainer might add things to her bill (it was like a thursday or friday). Didn't want to leave an open check (written to the company, amount just not filled in) because I could write it for any amount and pocket the difference (IDK how... also she could have come back on sunday to write the amount out). Definitelty didn't want to pay cash. I was like... I genuinely don't know what you want me to do right now. She then sat outside the office for two hours watching me to see what shady things I did in my spare time. |

| I manage vacation rentals now. I once had a gentleman call me at 4:45 am to tell me the power was out and asked what I planned on doing about it because if his wife woke at 5 and didn't have coffee waiting on her, there would be hell to pay. I asked him what he would like for me to do? was I supposed to find the issue, climb the pole, and reattach it? He didn't appreciate my sentiment but c'mon, woken out of dead sleep at that time of morning, my adrenaline spiked |

| @eury O.o That Luigi guy was caught in a nearby county... I'm sure he was thinking about taking Amtrak or the Greyhound... Both have hubs in Altoona. |

| I had a coworker get a case where the doctor wrote a letter that stated "This is why (guy who killed UHC CEO) did what he did." Pretty sure it got escalated as a death threat. |

| Entitled people are why i think everyone should be in retail for at least 6 months. The mentally ill or people on drugs are why I don't think anyone should be in retail. Best story I have involved a storage unit, 3 boxes of adult content, and a divorce |

| this is my favourite retail story of mine. a customer came in after closing - Mon-Fri the deli closes at 8pm while the rest of the store closes at 9pm - and demands food. the deli was visibly closed, too. the lights were off and all the stuff in the case was covered in plastic, the seafood was put away, there were SIGNS UP ON THE DAMN CASE saying "we are closed go away". I politely tell this lady that we're closed and she proceeds to argue with me. I was at the end of a 9 hour shift and was beyond exhausted at that point, so I had little patience for her nonsense. we argued for about 5 minutes before she goes "how will you compensate me for this inconvenience" and I very loudly said "we won't! we're closed! it sucks to suck!" she goes to the manager on duty who's one of my closest friends to complain, and he goes "well... they *are* closed. it *does* suck to suck." |

| Have to chime in here, I worked for CVS. Had a drunk guy come in around closing, go to the restroom, and come out naked. Yep, as the day he was born. He said he thought he was home and going to take a shower. |

| I don't even have a degree. I got 'lucky' and got my foot in the door, but then the family friend who got me in retired and we also had a new director come in, and that's when it got really really bad. |

| Black, what's funny is I got my MLIS and thought I wanted to work in a library. I won't go near any public ones, at best I will work at a university library. |

| Gosh im glad im not customer facing haha. When I worked at a riding school I had a kid refuse to ride a pony because it was the wrong colour once- that didn't go down well funnily enough haha |

| Oh, I got the cops called on me because one of the mentally disabled got mad I told her she couldn't check out the stack of 20 DVDs she had (only 3) and she started screaming that I stole her wallet. Almost forgot about that one! |
