I just thought this story was a bit funny and wanted to share. So, in the game there are 3 types of Agouti (a, A, and At). In real life it was theorized there were 4 types (a, A, At, and A+). This was the theory because someone released a study backing it. The guy who released it later retracted everything, saying he based it all on mice, never found evidence of At or A+ in horses, but published the study for profit regardless. The new theory is that single dominant Agouti (Aa) causes a dark phenotype due to incomplete Agouti effect.
I personally like the At function in the game more, but I thought that was a sort of funny/interesting story about real life! Edited at May 30, 2024 08:14 AM by Cimarron Wind
