"Research," Alec answered Nora's question. "If I want to be a knight one day, I have to know the kingdom!" Alec sat down on one of the stools and picked up a map. "This is a map of Thendor's kingdom. It might be useful..." He said as he tossed it away. The room was well-lit, it looked bigger than it actually was. The room itself seemed to have a presence.

Nora considered the man for a moment, her scrutiny going from him, to the various items in the room, and then back again. It seemed very clever, very intentive of him. It gave her a new perspective on the kind of person he was, willing to go above and beyond for what he wanted. She thought he'd make a very good knight, or even something more, if he wanted to one day. Nora picked up the map that showed the expanse of Thendor's territory and grimaced. It was huge, and the terrain varied hugely across the territories. "How exactly did you get this map?" She asked, her voice trailing off into more of a hughed tone at the end. She eyed the doorway, the exposure in the woods making her feel slightly uneasy, even with the commander standing watch outside.

Eric lurked back into the Hut with his Head towars Nora with an grin "Yes Ma'am it should be a group discussion but i would really hate myself if there is actually something outside and we didnt hear or see it because we did a discussion. So pardon me but i will stay at Guard while you two discusse everything important. I mean its not like you cant tell me everything you talked later. Right?" he grinned before he looked back towards the Treeline, letting them discusse everything alone.

"My dad got it." Alec shrugged. "On a diplomatic mission there. I may or may not have stolen it." He gave out a small chuckle. As it was cold, Alec walked over to the fireplace and started lighting it. Nora followed him curiously. "Do you know how to light a fire?" He asked Nora.

Nora turned to Alec once Eric left, her eyebrows raised and eyes wide. "Well, that was interesting," she said with a snort. "I kind of just want to talk about grey rainbows and purple pigs now, just to spite him..." Nora ran the tips of her fingers on the surface of the wooden table, listening to Alec light the fire. She turned, leaning against the sturdy table's edge as she observed him. She didn't think there was too much of a bite in the air, but she knew that it would cool down quickly. Best to get the fire started sooner rather than later. "What diploatic mission? Who did you meet there?" The man had officially sparked Nora's interest. If he'd been there before, he might know information she wasn't privvy to. "Did you meet King Thendor? Do you know what he and his council are like?"

"Oh, umm. I didn't go. It was just my pa." Alec said with a slight grimace. "I believe it was to discuss a trading deal in the northern alps. We were trying to trade for some quality sheepskin. However, he did mention this Baron. Baron Davis..? I think. He seemed like a nasty piece of work, in my dad's opinion." Pulling the map over, he pointed out the Baron's castle, in the valley just after the border, just north of the aforementioned alps. "That's where my dad went. I don't think he met anyone super important, apart from a couple of dukes and duchesses.

Nora nodded as she listened to Alec, her eyes on the map, committing as much of it to memory as she could. "Oh, right. So you stole this from your dad when he got back?" She asked, and then started laughing. "You mischievous thing, you!" A moment later she sobered up, her features serious again. "My father made a deal with Thendor. Me for money. I don't know the king from a bar of soap, he stays pretty mysterious. But I've heard some things, rumours that paint him in shades of black. They could very well be completely untrue, the rumours, but what if they aren't? What if they're completely true?" Noraleaned back against the table again, looking at the fire starting in the fireplace. "I told him no. I don't know if he will listen. I'm equal to dirt, in his eyes."
