When Lily awoke, it was night. Like, really night. Pitch-black-sky night. She stood and, realizing she was very tired, laid back down. The rest of the night she could not get the thought out of her head that she loved West. Edited at April 11, 2023 04:46 PM by Galloping Stables

West awoke as the morning dawn shone on his dark back, warming him up. He opened his eyes, blinking before standing and stretching his back legs. He peered at Lily, seeing she was still laying down.. and looked asleep. He walked over to the water and took a drink before walking up the rim of the valley till he was out of sight, watching the sun rise.

Lily woke to a silence. For a few minutes she pondered over what it was with her eyes still closed, before opening them. West was gone. Lily jumped up, startled, and called out for him, whipping her head and mane around, trying to get a glimpse of that grey mane and tail that was now so familiar.

As he watched the sunset he suddenly heard a sharp cry, and his ears pinned, his head flew up, and he galloped back down to the valley, skidding to a stop near Lily. "Lily, Are you okay?" He asked breathlessly, his wounds obviously paining him after his dash. He hung his head for a second, gasping for air, his eyes filled with panic.

"Yes, I'm okay, I was just wondering where you were. Sorry for frigntening you." Lily looked sympathetic, and she looked at his wounds with worry. "But are YOU okay?"

West flicked his ears, slowly regaining his breath. He peered back at his wounds, seeing at least three of the deeper ones had broken back open and were now bleeding after his run. "I'm fine." He grunted, walking over to the water and splashing his wounds.

Lily rolled her eyes. "Seriously, stop saying that." Then, pausing, "West?"
