Diablo bowed his head slightly and didn't respond, his mind going to other things. -Did that agent hurt Rex?- Diablo suddenly thought, his stomach churning. He glaanced around warily as they came into a space... then heard a joyous woof. Diablo catapulted out of the car and flew to the giant, 208 pound St. Bernard with a happy yelp. "Rex! He exclaimed, ruffling the dog's fur. Rex barked excitedly and slobbered Diablo with doggy kisses. Diablo was so relieved his dog was okay... Rex was the only being on the planet that still thought he was a good person. It was nice to be loved by someone. "Thank you for bringing him here! I'm so glad he isn't hurt." Diablo sound relieved as he stood, wiping his hands on his pants before scratching the dog behind the ear. Rex was a giant, shaggy animal... purebred St. Bernard, 208 pounds, his head higher than Diablo's waist.

Flare smiled sadly at the reunion between dog and human thinking about how she didn't really have anything or anyone left to love. She nodded slightly before walking into the expansive safe house. The walls were painted pastel colors. There was a image of Flare in a dance outfit holding a pefect arabesque posistion. It was the last photo she had in which she truly looked happy. She turned towards Diablo "there are 3 bedrooms upstairs each has their own bathroom, the kitchen's on the left, and beyond that is the living room, the basement is a combined training room and medical area. If anything is locked please don't try to open it there are some things i'm not ready to share." She said hoping he didn't push her to talk about the photo or why she had it.

Diablo patted the dog once more before following Flare into the safehouse. He listened as she explained, glancing around. An interesting picture caught his eye, but he ignored it and went on. Edited at November 5, 2023 12:49 PM by Wild West Warmbloods

Flare walked into the basement and turned on the song Brave and began to dance. Even with stiches in her side she was still incredibley graceful. She danced to song after song until sweat streaked her face. Then she ended by gracefully falling to the floor. She was exahusted but that was the point. She neede a way to express her emotions and dance was the best way for her.

Diablo watched Flare walk away, then silently walked upstairs.. cautiously. He entered a room on the right; one of the ones she had pointed out. Diablo peered into the bathroom for a moment before realizing how exhausted he was. Rex padded in after him, woofing gently and hopping up on the bed, then laying down with a heavy sigh. Diablo was stunned with how... nice it all looked. Not expensive, but the bed was a queen size... it was an actual bed instead of just a cot, there were nice blankets, there were curtains on the windows instead of cut up sheets, and the room looked nice in general. Diablo's cabin looked like a dump compared to this. He had nothing but a small knife he had so cleverly hidden the police didn't find it when they took everything away from him, so he had nothing to put down. "All I own now is my dog and my clothing. Yay." He muttered with a weary sigh, sitting in a chair in the corner. Diablo could hear faint music from downstairs, but he decided it was none of his business so he didn't do anything about it. He closed his eyes drearily and almost fell asleep, thinking about what he had done. -I'm a murderer. A murderer. There goes everything good I fought for in the army- Diablo thought Edited at November 5, 2023 01:29 PM by Wild West Warmbloods

When Flare finished dancing she went to her room and collapsed on the bed. As soon as her head hit the pillow she fell asleep. She dreamt of the fire that led to the NSA finding her and all the things she did in her past. Finally the dream changed to her ex-husband's bitter words as he left then a scene in which she was stabbed countless times. She woke up screaming, drenched in sweat. She gasped trying to calm down and failing miserbly. Then she began to hyperventilate.

Jessica sat on her bed.She had all sorts of emotions ripping through her mind. Her mom was gone. Her number one cheerleader. The one person besides James that belived in her one hundred percent of the time. She didn't know what to do. All she wanted to do was cry so she did.

Diablo fell asleep sitting in the chair, surprised finally to have enough peace to do that. He awoke with a startled jerk as he heard screaming, hoping it wasn't real. Hoping it was just the screams in his head. But... this was real. Diablo stumbled up in alarm, exiting his room swiftly and going to the source of the scream. Rex followed, his head cocked. When Diablo saw Flare just sitting there, drenched in sweat and hypervetilating, his look grew even more concerned. "Hey, are you okay?" He asked with a worried tone.

"n-nnoo" Flare gasped trying to calm down buts she just couldn't. She was shaking violently. Her usally calm eyes were filled with panic. it was just a dream she told herself but she continued to panic anyway.

Rex looked just as concerned as his owner as he padded to the sobbing girl and shoved his nose under her hand, whimpering softly. "Hey, it is ok, whatever it is it can't hurt you." Diablo said quietly, not sure exactly what to do so he walked up and put an arm around her. "It's okay. I promise." He murmured, looking at Rex and trying not to snort. The dog was licking Flare's fingers and pressing his big, soft head against her legs.
