Arion huffed and braced himself when Corvan lunged. Corvan had stopped suddenly, at the sound of a small filly. Arion snorted when Corvan leaned down and nuzzled her. Arion stepped back again, faintly brushing against Amaranth. He watched Corvan and the filly for awhile, before turning around and galloping towards a burnt tree. Arion whinnied and bucked around like there was a human on him. Lather started forming on his chest as he was working out his rage. He continued to buck until he felt his anger drain out. He stopped and panted, trotting in a circle around the burnt tree.

Hera | Caretaker | Prairie Herd | M: Corvan, Evela, Stormfire


Seeing the young filly so distressed for her father, Hera could not help but speak up with a soft tone, "It's clear to see your father loves you very much. Don't worry, nothing will happen to him young one." Her voice was filled with sincerity. She wished desperately for foals to not experience harm, and if her father was hurt now, Hera would not stand by and allow the filly to experience any more distress. The white mare put herself in front of the stallion and foal, looking back at her herd members. "I will not stand by and allow you to harm them. This ends now." It took all of her courage to say those words without shying away. The stallions could feud all they want, but not when a filly was involved in the matter. She was surprised, however, when Arion backed off and left them. That only left Stormfire to deal with.

"stormfire, please stop getting into fight...please don't you understand all my life I have lost my family with only hail to talk to and.....stormfire I....I love you and I can't lose you" epona's eyes watered and they looked like an ocean rippling in the sun and she turned and played with corona and saw hail, she was avoiding her foal and looked sick....really sick and noticed she wasn't nursing

I can't do it anymore she is going to die hail trotted slowly and painfully over to hera"hera, I can't feed corona, im sick and weak and every day I feel like im dying faster, My baby is going to die. I need help" hail started wobbling and had to lay down and watched as corona ran around the tree

im so hungryyy corona trotted around in circles trying to keep her mind of her hunger, normally she could run faster then everybody in the herd and now she was almost as slow as her mother"why won't mom feed me!" she said aloud to herself and nearly crashed in a tree, reluctently she stoped and laid down

Baltix roused, lifting her lead from the resting place, it was still dark. She groaned and looked over to where the argument had happened. Evela was in danger, then she spied one of the two mares in front of her and Corvan. She's probably just desperate for her father, she doesn't care about what's going on and what could happen to her. Baltix was quite confused by the show of affection shown by Corvan and Evela. She was quite astonished by Arion's departure, it was fairly unusual. She had spent time watching the before, Arion and Stormfire both showed similar fighting skills, confidence, anger, she caught herself wondering if they were bothers. Her eyes fell on the mare again. She must be a caretaker, or a really good mother.

Stormfire, 2nd in command stallion, prairie herd, M - Arion, Evela, Corvan, Baltix, Epona They lost a family member in the fire! He shot a look at Arion. "Don't be stupid. And don't bring up that damn fire!" He pinned his ears and glared at Corvan. "I suggest you take your ugly little minion and go back to your herd before the herd clash. Personally, I don't mind a good fight, but I have herd members who are in no shape to fight." He used his shoulder to push Epona back from the territory line slightly, keeping his gaze trained on Corvan and the mare with the hurt leg as he did so. "If you want to fight, it's one on one. Don't endanger anyone else," he growled at Corvan. Then, shocked, he glanced at Epona. Did she just... He sighed. "It's my job," he muttered. "Besides, if bozo over here wants a fight I'm the one most qualified to do it right now."

Amaranth stood in place astonished. First, Arion actually backed off from the ordeal, and second, Hera had stood up for complete strangers. While her mind whirled, she could still feel her skin tingle from where Arion had brushed against her. She looked back at his retreating form, slightly perplexed in her current predicament. As much as the mare wanted to follow after Arion to talk with him, the safety of her sister was more important at the moment. The white mare was standing confidently in front of the stallion and filly, but she knew that her sister was terrified at the moment. She decided to find him after this was settled. For now, she would watch over her sister carefully.
