Jack walks with her to the door, then holds it open for her. Upon walking in, Alice is looking at him, analyzing him again. Right. Elaine told her about and hour ago...Oops.. He smiled warmly at her and beamed at the Rownan, knowing he would accept Jack. "Elaine and I are going to head out before it gets too late." He explained to them, "The horses need to be fed, and so do we. It was great getting to know you. You have an amazing home and stable. The trails are nice too." He shook the father's hand again and nodded to the mother, trying to reassure her he would never hurt Elaine and that he would do anything for her. Even sacrifice himself for her safety and happiness.

Elaine saw that her mother's gaze was softer than before, which meant she was opening up to the idea of accepting him as her possible future son in law which made Elaine happy. She squeezed his hand in reassurance as they left her parent's home.

He squoze her hand back while they walked out the door, him holding it for her. He opened her passenger door for her to climb in. Upon her getting in, he gently held her face and kissed her again and again. "Love you." He walked to put the tack and Treasure in the trailer. "Good boy." Jack said as Treasure calmly walked into the 2-horse trailer. He locked up the trailer and got into the truck, starting it. He gazed into Elaine's eyes and revved the engine a couple times for her amusement, hoping she remembered when he did this while courting her when they first met. "Ready to leave?" He asked her, pulling out of her home, "Cause i'm ready to head home and make some food. I'm currently starving to death." He said dramtically. When they got home, he got dressed and waited for her to do the same. Once she came back, he had made fried chicken and mashed potatoes for dinner. "Enjoy, love." He said, placing her bowl in front of her. He quickly ate, exhausted.

Elaine chuckles as Jack revels the engine. And then smiled as she remembers the memory. She then looks out the window as they drive back to the rescue. When they got back she smiled. "Looks tasty" she says before digging into the food. "Can I make dinner tomorrow? You always make dinner and I thought I'd return the favor" she says.

"Sure, sunset." He added, "Shall we go to bed? I'm too exhausted for anything special tonight." He added a sigh for emphasis. He took care of the dishes and climbed into bed, holding the sheets open as she climbed in. He cradeled her protectively against his chest, making sure she was safe and comfortable. He kissed her head and hummed until she fell asleep, following her lead he fell asleep too.

Elaine woke up the next day before Jack for once. She yawned, blinking her eyes as they adjusted to the light. She slowly turned over as not to wake him up. She slowly dragged a finger down who's face, tracing over his nose and cheek down to his chin.

Jack woke up with a start, feling something touching his face. He jumped out of bed, only in shorts and ready to fight. He had his fists at his face, ready to go toward whatever had startled him. He saw Elaine and blushed, "Sorry, love. You scared me for a moment there. Let's go out to breakfast." He stepped into the bathroom to get dressed.

Elaine smiles, "morning love" she says, kissing him on the lips. She then goes to go change into a nice minidress. She then steps out and smiles. "What do you want for breakfast?"

"I honestly don't care. I'm not very hungry right now. What about you?" He took her hand and led her to the kitchen, making sure she wasn't startled by his reaction, "I'm truly sorry for how I acted just now." He said

"I'm not that hungry either" she admits. "It's okay" she says following him to the kitchen.
