Name: Doolin

Age: 7 Years Old

Gender: Stallion

He is a red roan stallion, standing 17 hands even with a thick body type; shapey and muscular witha large shoulder, round hip, and substancial barrel.

Always kind and forever willing to give others a second chance, Doolin possesses a deep respect for life and freedom and often is reluctant to choose violence throughout his life. He can be jealous and stubborn sometimes, sometimes even saying or acting on things without a thorough thought through. One of his flaws is that he predisposed to running away and ignoring his problems while refusing to accept the real emotional tole it can take on him. However, running away from this very fate ultimately led to the murder of his entire herd (which led to a point where he had to face this flaw and overcome it to protect the ones he loves in the future). Furthermore, Doolin is not characterized as someone who cares about being powerful or wants a monumentally heroic life- he just wants to be a normal stallion and a good friend.

To his natal herd, Doolin was the heir that was supposed to take over leadership after his aging father, however, Doolin grew up with the idea it would be one of his many older sisters who had spent many more years at his side than the colt. Doolin had no interest in becoming a leader and spent his time roaming about with the other colts. At two years old, the older stallion sent out all the colts from the herd to become a bachelor group and make their own paths. Doolin was supposed to be the only of his peers to stay since he was the heir, but as the pressure of what he was supposed to "be," began to feel all the more real, he snuck away and joined the band, leaving his family behind him.

After crossing hundreds of miles of terrain, the band finally came across a smaller herd in the mountains. Unlike most, this stallion provided generosity, leading the young colts to food and water. He allowed them to stay within the safety of the herd until they were ready to venture off on their own. Doolin took a liking to the leader and helped the stallion guard the mares and even protected him from the unfair/malicious advances of younger stallions, including his own band members. In the end, he was allowed to stay and become a part of the herd.

Over the next few years, Doolin took a mate with the lead stallions blessing and had a foal. Unfortunately, there was a wild fire and it is assumed that his own family was lost to it. Doolin did his absolute best to help as many of the horses out of the flames as he could, but he was injured himself to the severity he had to lay up a few days before he could manage the strength to get up and look for his family. After no avail, he was forced to leave, alone.

After this, Doolin tried to return to his natal herd but ended up learning the herd was gone after farmers ambushed the herd with guns after they were "too close" to their farmland and what horses survived were then picked off by the rivaling herd. His father was lost. With so much guilt, Doolin made a vow that he would never run from his responsibilities again and he would give his life to protect those around him. Even after so much time had passed before he joined the herd he currently resides in, the vow still stands and his loyalty earned him the position he ranks now.

Name: Stormy

Age: 4/5

Gender: Mare

Personality: Serious, patient, kind, playful, thoughtful, hotheaded (at times), caring, can be funny

Background: Stormy was born in the wild, her mother had no herd, only her beloved stray stallion, though shortly after Stormy was born a cougar attacked, knowing the new mother and her foal were weakened by the long birth. Luckily the mares mate was there, he fought the cougar off, but the big cat wasn't alone, it had a friend. Stormy's father told her mother to take her and run! To not look back for him, and so the mare did as he instructed. Stormy's father was never seen again... Stormy and her mom came across this herd when the lead stallion and lead mare were still foals, her mother befriended the lead horses of that time and they allowed her to stay with her filly. Stormy was basically raised around the foals who became the leaders of the herd today. She had grown loyal to the lead mare, stallion, and their three foals. Her mother got colic when she was 2 and sadly passed away

Age: 6

Gender: Mare

Appearance: Perlino with four white socks and a snip. She has two blue eyes. Identical to Stone. 17 hands on the dot

Personality: Gem is very untrusting and is quiet, coming off as shy and distant. She really only talks to her identical twin brother and relies heavily on him. She loves water and apples. She hates large crowds and group gatherings. Confined spaces mane her uncomfortable. The only friend she has is her brother and she isn't really open for more friends.

Background story: She and her brother, Stone, were bred as cattle horses. They were brought up by rough and inhumane training techniques and decided to run away when they were younger. The two made it away but were separated at 1 year old. Gem was brought back to the barns to be used as a cattle horse again and was heavily abused. She was ridden before she was physically able and it has affected her mentally. She was rescued by Stone a few months after and had been wild ever since.

Personality: kind, quiet, friendly, caring towards her friends, easy to scare, hot headed (when needed), has grown a little shy over her years

Background story: Isabella was born in a different herd, she was a playful young filly who one day ran off with the other foals from her herd, they were sick of their parents rules and bossyness! So they left and started a foal herd! Where they had freedom. Isabella stayed with her friends in this herd up until she was 3 and a half. She knew Stone and Gem as her foal hood friends back in the herd, but after turning 3 she accidentally got separated from them and her other foal friends in a huge predator attack, the foals scattered, Isabella staying with Gem and Stone, following close behind, when a wolf comes after them Stone saves Gem, in the process Isabella got chased to a small hill cliff side, she managed to climb halfway up but couldn't go any higher, she edged against the wall as the wolf tried to snap at her hooves, Stone came and kicked the wolf, telling her to run, and so she did! Isabella, in a panic, leapt over Stone and the wolf and took a clear path hoping to meet with him and Gem later to return to the foal herd. But instead she found herself lost, she never saw her friends again... Until this rp (XD)

Name: “Jubilation My Way” aka Jubilee

Age: 3 ish? Depends on younger foals I suppose

Gender: Female | Mare

Appearance: Flaxen liver chestnut roan tobiano, cat tracks and blue eyes. A few small nicks and scars, but nothing major. Upon reaching her full height, she will stand around 15hh to 15.1hh. | She has a rather lean build with somewhat short, stocky legs, a muscular, short back, and a fine head. She’s built for endurance for the most part, but is able to do quick bursts of speed when the need arises. | Her mane and tail are long and usually knotted from her adventures.

Personality: As a young filly, Jubilee was quite excitable and happy, a bright light in the herd. However, as time passed and she grew, she changed. She’s often snappy and short-tempered, especially with the rest of her family. While she’s not a cruel horse, she’s quick to react and often doesn’t watch her tongue. When she knows she’s gone too far, she’ll (usually) apologize in private. When in a better mood, she’s competitive, bold, and excitable. She does love her family, she’s just stressed. :) | Outside of her birth herd, she’s seen as a proud and adventurous filly. While intelligent, she often bites off more than she can chew. | Loves to explore and often wanders away from the herd, sometimes for days at a time.

Background story: Born as the first of the two lead’s foals, Jubilee sees her ‘role’ in the herd as something she never wanted. She feels restricted, like she’s being forced to stay around- and that irritates her. It’s not that she doesn’t want to protect/lead her herd - she’s perfectly fine in a position of authority - it’s that she doesn’t want to stay here. She finds the herd life boring, and if given the opportunity, she would run off and find a bachelor to befriend, perhaps start her own herd, and explore, although she’d always come back to visit. However, she’s too afraid of what will happen to either her, her family, or her herd to leave now, so she resorts to her adventures, gradually moving farther and farther from the herd. | She often sneaks away for her own purposes, but occasionally meets a stallion called Atlas (if allowed).

Name: “Wanderlust” Atlas

Age: About 5

Gender: Male | Stallion

Appearance: Silver golden bay dun tobiano w/ minimal splash white, resulting in pale blue eyes. He stands at 16.2hh. A large scar decorates his left flank, a result of a puncture wound with a branch, and he has multiple bite and kick wounds. | He has a very stocky appearance, almost like a draft cross, and long, muscular legs with feathering. Atlas has wandered for a long time, resulting in hard hooves and a weathered coat. While he’s not the fastest horse around, he can move quickly, and his strong physique means that he can endure most injuries or issues. Except the crippling ones, obviously. | His mane and tail are long but well kept, with a small bushel of hollyhock (meaning ambition) in his tail.

Personality: Atlas is an adventurous and quiet stallion, usually seen hanging around the herd’s territory. Despite his rather flighty nature, he isn’t afraid to stand his ground, and will confront those he thinks that are wrong without hesitation. Unfortunately, his perspective is often skewed, so he doesn’t always realize that what he’s doing is either wrong or hurtful. He will grow, though, so don’t worry. He’s not always going to be immature. | To his loved ones, he’s charismatic and kind, and tends to be more lenient to those he favors. | Due to his upbringing, Atlas doesn’t really understand the herd’s way of life, and seeks to change it. He doesn’t see this as wrong - he thinks of it as if he is showing them something new and glorious, something that he’ll lead the way of. He’s an ambitious little fellow, and sometimes comes across as arrogant.

Background story: Atlas’ mother was a grullo splashed white mare, initially happy in her herd. However, she was young, and quickly fell for a bachelor that hung around the territory. Push comes to shove, and the stallion quickly ran off upon finding out that the mare was in foal. Seen as a coward and a traitor, the mare was driven away by her lead stallion, and wandered a long ways away until she had Atlas. She weaned him quickly, leaving him at a very young age to go and return to her herd. | He was found after a short while of being a loner by a bachelor band. They took him in, teaching him of all the ways of herds and mares - and what their role was in this life. He sparred a lot, resulting in his scars, and although he never became leader of the band, he was well respected. Atlas took it to heart, and fully believes that he should be able to just wander into territories and find a herd of his liking. | He came across this herd a few months ago, and has been watching them carefully. He wants to challenge the lead stallion and lead them (alongside a mare), but is not doing it to be cruel. He wants to show them the world, lead them to places they could only dream of - and perhaps, if he gets what he wants, they’d be the strongest of them all. If they were, after all, they’d never have to be afraid anymore (as he was as a colt), right?
