Flare smiled weakly than gasped as a wave of pain shot through her. She knew the meds had worn off, but she wasn't expecting it to hurt that much.

Diablo flinched forward as she let out a gasp, his expression immediately flashing back to worry. "Uno momento." He darted out of the room... no way was he letting her stay in pain. Or at least that much pain. Diablo guessed she was probably used to it and all, but that wasn't going to stop him from trying to help. He wasn't a murderer at heart. He was a guy from the Army that lost his parents. He had been trained to help and heal, not to kill... he had just been taught how to kill. Diablo inquired with Tom for a moment, who was sitting in a different room, before taking a heavy dose of painkillers back to Flare.

When Diablo gave Flare the pain meds she sighed. The pain went away, but now she was tired. It didn't take long for her to fall fast asleep.

Diablo relaxeda little when Flare konked off, walking over to the window yet not leaving the room this time. Nobody was going to sneak on in there when he was actually here.

Flare woke up a few hours later and sighed glancing at Diablo. "Did i miss anything while i was asleep?" she asked picking up her book and flipping it open.

Diablo had stood there for almost an hour, but afterward he went to the recliner and read a historical book about a grizzly attack in Yellowstone. As he heard a slight suffle, he lifted his eyes from the pages, closing the book as he noticed Flare was awake. "Nothing. The best thing you missed was Tom slipping on a banana peel." He answered with a small grin at that, but it quickly faded back into his normal, usually slightly placid expression.

Flare made no response to Diablo's comment except a slight nod. She wanted to sit up but she knew she shouldn't.

Diablo stood out of the chair and went to the window again, his eyes flitting around outside for a couple moments.

Flare sighed she knew what day it was if her son had still been alve it would have been his 4th birthday.

"I'm sorry about your son. From.. what I saw of him... he was a really nice kid." Diablo said quietly, trying and probably failing to help the situation. +++ (Want to skip forward a couple weeks, when flare is mostly healed, so they can move somewhere else? )
