"We specialise in Cross Country." He nodded, still a bit suspicious. He hadn't had the best experience of strangers.

"Ah, I wish but I do dressage. I better go, see ya around" she smiled, waved and walked back out into the sunlight toward her truck.

"Oh, bye then" Peter said. He felt a bit bad now, he might not be willing to blow whatever chance he might have in the competition but he would've liked to do something in return.

She grabbed her trunk and walked into her stabling area, sat it down and turned to see Alora holding Trouble and her helmet. "Thanks Alora" she mounted and walked on loose rein.

Peter started grooming Sapphire mostly one-handed. It wasn't unusual for his arm to be sore although this was the first time it happened on an important competition day.

She walked him around and stopped to talk to a young man who stopped her, she put on a cheery face and started speaking to him. "Ya you do jumpers? Thats cool" he spoke "Yep, its fun" she smiled and rubbedTroubles neck. Edited at September 19, 2021 12:56 AM by Dancing In Air

Peter got a text to say his parents had arrived to watch. He walked out to greet them but paused as he spotted the girl from before with a different male rider now. He sighed slightly to himself.

They finished and she walked toward the crowded warm up area, she sighed and try not get her stallion to close. She worked off to the side.

|
|

Peter's parents were of course concerned to hear that his arm wasn't feeling good. They weren't exactly Horse people but did their best to help get Peter and his mount ready and make sure he didn't aggravate the injury even more.

|
Trouble started acting up after the warm-up as they were walking out, he stopped and looked around quickly, "Come on buddy" she kicked him to get along. He started to tremble and bunch up and she frowned petting her mount, she knew something was about to happen a split a second to late as he leaped in the air and she scrabbed for some mane or rein as he landed she kicked out her stirrups and dismounted.
