Ranger threw his head into the air as he reared, his hooves seeming to scrape the sky. He observed everything before letting out a piercing cry of a proud stallion that floating across the hills. He then came back down in a gallop, tearing across the plains, pure joy flowing through him. His dark pelt with a white back and haunches flashed in the sunlight as a scent drifted to his nose, his nostrils flaring.

Dune looked over his herd, proud that it was HIS herd. With about 20 horses it wasn't a big herd, yet not a small one. My favorite kind, he thought, tossing his head. Dune saw Angel and River next to each other, happy that they were talking. He saw horses of all shapes and sizes, colors and heights. And Dune was satisfied. This was a good place to be. Green grass, plenty of shade, a river and a lake, sheltered from predators.... Perfect.

Ranger slowed to a halt as the scent grew stronger, flaring his nostrils more and lifting his regal head high in the air. He finally identified it for sure... a herd. Other horses. Myabe he could go and join... he was getting lonely right about now. He started out in a trot, following the scent but staying downwind. Whenever the wind shifted, Ranger did too. He finally came over a rise and saw a herd, about 20 horses.

Dune saw a speck out of the corner of his eye, and, trying to look as leaderly as he could, trotted up to the other horse. "Who are you and what is your purpose here? This is my herd and I don't want anyone tresspassing." Dune deepened his voice to sound stronger and scarier.

Ranger noticed a stallion... probably the leader of the herd... coming towards him. He lifted his head higher, which was rather high since he was 17 hh of pure muscle. "My name is Jolly Roger, but you can call me Ranger. I was wondering if I could join your herd, on a friendly basis, just for now." Ranger answered. He had a deep voice, but it had a teasing ring to it. He offered a smile and tried not to laugh as the other stallion deepened his voice to make it sound more aggressive.

River flicked her ears and jumped back when a large horse popped out of nowhere, River yipped and turned and ran, she only hoped the horse didn't want to hurt her,

Angel looked up and saw dune with a stallion so she cantered up to them. "What's going on here" she asked while keeping an eye on both the stallion and the herd

River sniffed at the ground and padded forward, her tail tucked between her legs, she flicked her ears and gazed around, to make sure there weren't any predators around, she walked forward slowly, her head down, she saw a large cluster of horses, and yipped nervously, but slowly crawled out of the tree-line to investigate, she sniffed at a random horses legs, she quickly padded away to the centre, to see some horses in deep conversation, she sniffed at a stallion with dark brown legs and White blanket Appaloosa, she made a small sound when he spoke and tried to press her self to the ground as far as she could manage

Ranger glanced at a small fox that wound its way around his legs, sniffing them. He then looked up at the mare, guessing it was the lead mare. His eyes flashed with that same jokester lookas before. "I was just asking this fine stallion here if I could hang around, or temporarily join your herd... on a friendly basis, of course." Ranger answered, offering a charming smile... not to beg the mare or anything, but just being himself. He had a friendly, charming smile to start with.
