Flare said nothing. She just took the file and walked out of the building throwing her long red hair over her shoulder as she did so. After she read the file. She ripped it in large pices and put it in the recyling.

After Diablo had completed his morning walk, his coffee was gone, so he went into a cozy coffee shop. He ordered yet another coffee, then went and sat down at a table near the window, his smile pleasant as he looked around. A girl came up to him. "Mr. ... Ripp? Here's your coffee." She flashed a cute smile and the thing that happened wherever he went started. Diablo took the coffee with a small smile and said thanks. "So, have you been here before?" The waiter asked, sitting down. -Here we go again- Diablo thought, leaning back. "Yep. Every... single... morning." "Oh! Well, um, I'm new so..." The girl commented, brushing a strand of hair out of her face. "What's your name?" She asked. "Mine is Sheila." Diablo sighed slightly, trying not to sound exasperated. "Ryker." He answered, not saying his true name... just like he hadn't said his true last name for the order. He was really Diablo Agiwolf, but his cover name had always been Ryker Ripp. "Ah, Ryker. A handsome name for a handsome man." Sheila grinned a little, batting her eyelashes. --Damn, why-- Diablo thought. "Thanks for the compliment, but, er, I have some work to get done. Goodbye." He almost sounded more like he was shooing her away than saying a nice goodbye. "Oh- well, I'll see you later, Ryker!" Sheila was undeterred by his slightly cold discharge. When she was out of earshot Diablo groaned a little, placing his head on the table and staring at the wood.

Flare glared at Jessica her green eyes were like daggers. It was rather obvious she was mad about having to stay together, but finally she muttered "Fine". Then she slipped into the car.

Diablo stared at the wood for almost a minute longer before sitting up, exiting the coffee shop with a friendly wave to the person that actually made his coffee. It had been delicious. As he walked down the street people smiled and waved to him. "Ah Ryker, hello! Nice to see you Ryker! How are you doing today, Ryker?" Friendly calls came from all around. He answered each with a smile and a nod. Diablo walked around a bit aimlessly for a while before going into a bar. "Ah, I could spend forever here." He mumbled happily, breathing in the scent. "Ryker! What can I get for you today?" A voice boomed from behind the counter, and the heavyset bartender stepped forward. "Oh, just some beer. Thanks, John." Diablo answered. He went to sit on a barstool, placing his elbows on the counter and yawning. "No problem! Anything for Ryker." John grinned, sliding a can of beer towards Diablo. "I know you prefer it from the can, so enjoy it while we still have it." John joked. Edited at October 22, 2023 09:01 PM by Wild West Warmbloods

Flare walked inside the mansion. As she did so she glanced at her phone. There was a message telling her she needed to go to NSA HQ to watch some security footage. She turned to jessica "when we're done here i need you to drive me to NSA HQ ok?"

Jessica sighed. "ok can you go interview his wife? I'll tackel the servants." She headed over to the kitchen. After an hour she had come up pretty much blank. "flare we're going to stop by a resturant on the way ok?"

Diablo nodded in thanks to John, grinning a little before taking a sip and looking around. The half-bar half-restaurant was quite nice, old-fashioned and looking like it was made in a 1980's small town in Texas. If you didn't look outside, you could almost imagine small dirt roads outside. Diablo loved the feeling of the Rocky Top Bar and Restaurant, so he went there every single day, and got the same thing every single day. A beer, and, if it was lunchtime, a cheeseburger with their amazing fries. On a really bad day he would take a whiskey. Diablo didn't have to work today, because his job was being a bounty hunter. He hunted fuguitives down that were good at avoiding policemen... so technically he worked in a departement but he never actually went there. He would just get a file, track them down, and bring them in. An amazing cover up when he was a criminal himself... not that anyone knew. Diablo had always used the name Ryker Ripp, ever since he joined the army. After some severe wounds he got a Veteran Honerable Discharge, and a couple badges of honor to go with the wole front. Diablo observed everyone with his dark eyes, carefully sipping his beer and letting his gaze flick to each person. Finally they kept landing on the restaurant side... the happy families eating with their children. That brought a strong pang of sadness to him. That was why Diablo had done what he did. That was why he was going to do... more.
