"So there is another big cat we should be worried about? There must be breeding grounds for them around here." Wildfire shook his head and sighed. It was such a beautiful place, why must there be so much danger? Wildfire's eyes searched for Tigress and Lilac. "I need to speak about moving with Lilac. Maybe me and Tigress can try to clear the area and we could come back later. If you could try to get the herd all together, I would appreciate it." He playfully nudged Farnight before cantering to search for Lilac.

Tigress rushed over to the group. " I saw what happened but I wasn't quick enough!" She exclaimed. "There is now way this is just one singular lion attacking us. They would know to stay away by now!" Her brain was in puzzle mode, trying to figure everything out.

"Tigress!" Wildfire exclaimed. "We need to find Lilac, we have to speak immediately about moving before someone else gets seriously hurt. He glanced around, glad to see Farnight gathering everyone.

Sultan was a little caught off guard by her question but he shook his head. "Nope I havent had a mate nor have I really tried through the years but with being in a herd now may try if things work out" He answered before he heard allot of comotion and turned and looked trying to figure out what had went on this time as he started to head in the direction of the others.

Arion stood in the field alone. She started walking in the opposite direction towards a flowering tree. The black mare hung her head and sighed. Her tail flicked and blew with the light breeze. She looked up at the flowers and smelled the fresh air. Edited at November 2, 2022 11:33 AM by Brookfield Stables

"Everyone, I think we need to find a new place to move to. It is not safe here, as the past day has shown us, so we need to leave. - But first, we need to decide where we are moving to." Farnight commented to his surrounding herd mates.

"yes," Tigress responded to Wildfire. "it's way too dangerous here, despite the beauty of the place. We just cant keep doing this. Someone is going to get killed if we stay here."

Sultan stopped and glanced back watching Arion walk off but was a little confused but he only walked a little closer to the others so he could hear what was being said. He figured with all the herd mates being attacked they would have to be moving soon and sighed shaking his head.

Lilac heard Wildfire calling for her, she limped torward the sound of his voice, her ankle was still hurting badly, it was swelling. He ran into her, " Wildfire what is it? Is the herd in trouble? I'm sorry I was collecting moss in the woods...hey are you okay?" Lilac nickered at the stallion and then nuzzled him thoughtfully, She was wondering what was wrong.

"Lilac, we have to leave this place. It is very unsafe. Someone could possibly die, and everyone is in danger." Wildfire set a determined look on his face. He thought for a moment before speaking. He spoke loud enough for the rest of the herd to hear him, to catch their attention. "I have seen many small bachelor herds heading east. We have never gone that way, but if that many young horses are going and coming back healthy, it must be safe. I say we travel that way. We will travel a bit before finding a nice, safe resting place for a few days so that our injured can heal. Lilac will guide us to where she believes is best on the eastern side. Tigress and I will protect you." Wildfire glanced at Tigress. "That way each of us may take a break. If Lilac needs it, either me or Tigress will be there to command if she needs a bit of time off. We will start moving after we round everyone up together." He glanced around, his eyes landing on Sultan. "Sultan, if you could help me round everyone together, I would appreciate it." Wildfire hoped this showed the stallion that he had forgiven him and trusted him. Edited at November 2, 2022 01:02 PM by Painted Hills Ranch
