Catherine Bennett "They're red, almost raw-" she spoke softly, her touch soothing and gentle on his skin, trying not to irritate it or anything. His hand was big compared to hers, a little rough, but thin. Her brows furrowed, as she examined them, "You don't have to explain anything, but let me at least put some ointment and wrap them up- it'll get more irritated and hurt more if I don't." She spoke quietly, looking him in the eyes. "There's already a rash forming on it, and its a little dry." she continued, carefully moving his hand around in hers, being extremely careful.

Jackson Alex-Ren ~----------------------~ Jackson yanked his hand away, holding it close. You're fine. Tell her you are fine. "I'm fine." He stuttered, shoving to his feet. "They're fine. They're just-... dry." He said, voice as dry as the word. Jackson stayed standing for a moment before sitting down again, holding his hands close and away. "... sorry." He mumbled out, looking away. Eyes firmly on the ground. "I just... Don't like being touched." He muttered. It wasn't a lie... but it wasn't the full truth. Not at all.

Catherine Bennett She slightly flinched at his rapid movement but respected his boundaries. "put some lotion on them, or something at least." she paused, "please-" She looked at him, staring into his eyes, "It's okay—I'm sorry too. I should've asked before grabbing your hands." she apologized, watching him sit back down. She shifted herself a little on the couch, leaning back a tad and getting a little comfortable, unconsciously toying with the pages of the book that lay beside her. Her fingers ran along the soft paper, which was smooth and almost soothing under her fingertips.
(when do we want to add the slight romance bit and them being lost in the woods? ^^)

Jackson Alex-Ren ~----------------------~ Jackson watched her silently, pulling his knees up to his chest. "... I don't have any lotion." He mumbled to her, scooting a bit away. ".... how has... life... uh... been? Since middle school..." He asked quietly, running a hand through his brown and purple colored hair. He had dyed his hair since middle school. and kept it this way. He liked purple... (I'm sorry it's so short)

Catherine Bennett She nodded slowly,
"I can give you some before we head to sleep.." she spoke, rubbing her eyes. A small yawn emitted from her lips before she responded to his question.
"Since then.. a lot, and also not a lot at the same time. Family issues.. to generalize, I had to raise my siblings, my parents wouldn't be home for a while, and sometimes I wouldn't see them for days- I've been pretty, drained.. besides that, it was the usual with school, and other things, though I took up boxing...but I found I'm easily injured-" her hand motioned to her right knee, "I've been having a rough time walking sometimes, the usual." she dismissed, used to the struggle. She looked at his hair. Purple and brown, It reminded her of when they were younger, a small smile tugging at her lips.
"Uh..enough about me though- what about you?" she questioned, looking at him. Her hair was still her natural color, but short now, she used to have long hair that she'd always put up, but since highschool, she got comfortable letting it down, and cutting it short. (You're okay! Don't worry ^^)

Jackson Alex-Ren ~----------------------~ Jackson hesitated and opened his mouth to speak. She's been through worse then you. He shut his mouth and looked away, pressing his lips tight together. "I... uhm... not much. Parents finally divorced... mom and I moved into the Rocky's...." The Ricky's was the worst neighborhood even close to their school. It was known for the terrible break ins and... other things. But it was also known for being a really cheap neighborhood... Jackson shrugged. "Uhm... yeah... not much." He mumbled, looking to the side and running a hand through his brown roots.

Catherine Bennett Her face faltered for a moment. The Rocky's. She knew it wasn't a good neighborhood, by far the worst and probably most dangerous one back in the area where they lived. He's not going to want you to pity him- but I truly feel bad, empathetic per se. "Oh gosh..how's your mom doing? and..what about you, yourself? Genuinely-" She faintly remembered there was a bit of trouble with his parents, but again, certain things he wouldn't share as they were a bit personal to him. "And the Rocky's- I'm sorry Jackson- I'm sorry you and your mom have to go through all of this." she murmured, her voice incredibly soft and soothing as she continued talking to him.

Jackson Alex-Ren ~----------------------~ Jackson made a face when his mom was mentioned and looked away. His stomach lunched when CC asked about him... Lie. Don't tell her. "Moms... good." His voice cracked, which quickly hid with a cough. "Moms good." He said, voice less shaky then the time before. "And I'm... just as fine." He said with a curt nod. He pulled his knees to his chest, picking at the skin around his ankles. He opened his mouth to say something else but the words died in his throat. All he could manage was a week shrug. "It's really not that bad... No one really comes into the house... It's only happened 4 times." Jackson muttered, looking down at his fingers picking at his totally fine skin.
