Caden watched Alaska as she spoke, listening to her answer. Reading, hiking, swimming, all good answers. He quite liked to read and swim himself. He looked her in the eye as he spoke, blue eyes on blue eyes. "I quite like reading and swimming aswell. I hope there's a pond or something on property, I've always wanted to go swimming with Argo." Caden ran his hand through his hair before continuing his response, "I graduated from the U this past spring, with a major in engineering. I would have graduated next spring but my parents decided to start me in school a year early, so here I am. I played hockey for the U as that has always been a passion of mine, and I also played soccer in high school. My life has always been so consumed by sports so I've never thought my self to be all that interesting otherwise."

Alaska nodded, her light blonde hair falling over her shoulders. "I believe there is a small lake. I know the trail to the river, then we just follow that upriver and we can find it." She answered. She had always loved hiking through wilderness and memorizing terrain, and since her father had been a Marine she knew a lot about the forest. "Engineering, that is fun." Alaska commented with a smile. She loved to help rebuild cars with her father... but at the point she didn't think that was worth mentioning. "Well you have done a good job at making it sound interesting. Maybe we should go find the lake sometime... I think there is a waterfall up there, as well."

Caden smiled and nodded, "Yeah, I saw that it's supposed to hit 100 degrees in the next couple of days, so that would be a good time to ride out and find some water." He stood up and walked out the kitchen side door, grabbing the steaks and putting them on a cutting board in the kitchen. He turned around and faced Alaska before saying "Alaska, steaks are done."

Alaska wanted to groan, making a face and shaking her head slightly. "Why did I move to Texas again?" She mumbled to herself, then glanced at a small map that hung on the wall. "Sounds great, and thanks." She answered, getting out plates as Cade told her the steaks were done. Alaska wondered if anyone else was coming, but she guessed not... and set two places on the table, wanting to be a tiny bit helpful. -Next time I am cooking- she thought stubbornly

Caden watched her set the table as he walked over with the steaks, setting the cutting board on the table. He sat down and moved a steak to his plate. He sighed as he stretched his back, and went to cut his steak. "Bon Appetit" he said to Alaska, giving her a small smile. They started eating their dinner and Caden gave his mom a call to ask her to send down his allergy medicine, learning she'd already sent it, having noticed it left behind an hour after he left.

Alaska finished making the places nice and sat down when Caden did, giving a nod of thanks along with a smile. "My compliments to the chef." She joked lightly, cutting her steak up as well. Alaska ate it rather quickly, since she usually didn't spend much time at meals... it just wasted what other time you had in the day.

Having finished his meal, Caden stood up and put all of the dishes into the dishwasher. He made sure the kitchen and table were clean before heading back to his cabin. He walked through the barn one more time just to say good night to Argo, giving the grey warmblood a kiss on the muzzle. After retiring to his cabin he got ready for bed, and laid down for the night, the clock reading 10:34pm.

Alaska went into the living place of the Rider's Lounge and grabbed her book as Caden cleaned, guessing that if she asked to help he would just shoo her aside. After he was done she made sure everything was spotless, then went out into the cool night air. Alaska went straight for the trails, smiling as the slight breeze blew through her light blonde hair. She walked to the river she had found before and sat down, tucking up her knees and placing her chin on them. She stared at the twinkling water, her eyes reflecting it and shimmering with icy blue sparkles. Alaska finally got up with a sigh, walking back and to the barn. She checked on Sea Clown, who was thankfully sleeping. Alaska smiled and whispered a goodnight to the usually-energetic mare, then taking the long walk to her cabin. After getting to her cabin Alaska made sure everything was locked, then went into her bedroom and collapsed in the bed, staring up at the ceiling. Tomorrow... she would get to run Sea Clown. The mare would love that. With thoughts of racing on the well-built mare she fell into a deep, black sleep.

Caden rolled out of bed, grabbing his phone, making sure his alarm was off. He hated getting up at 6am but he needed to take care of Argo. He walked into the bathroom, brushing his teeth, hair and washing his face. He grabbed a emerald green tank top and a pair of tan breeches. Once again, it was a hot Texas day. He quickly cooked up two eggs in his cabin's kitchen, and scarfed them down along with a hot cup of coffee. He made the walk out to the barn, it actually wasn't too awful outside but it was only early morning. Entering the barn Caden flipped the lights on, and received many whinnies from the hungry horses. Before serving breakfast, he took the hose out and refilled everyone's water buckets. He mixed Argo's grain, serving it to his impatient horse. Having his horse fed, he mucked out the stall before serving a flake of hay to all the horses in the barn.

Alaska heard an alarm going off, opening her eyes slowly. She turned it off and hopped out of bed, stretching her long arms with a yawn. She glanced outside, seeing it was bright out already. Alaska then checked the clock, which read 6 AM. She went into the bathroom and got ready for the day, glancing at the thermometer on the wall. 92 degrees!? Alaska stared at it in shock for a moment before swallowing and praying she was back in Minnesota. She then anxiously glanced at the weather forcast, and it read that at the hottest today... it would be 109 degrees. "Holy jeepers." Alaska groaned, grabbing a light blue tank top and changing into it. She then grabbed some light breeches, changed into those as well, and took her black, short muck boots. Alaska slipped outside and walked to the barn, her shoulders sagging slightly as she thought about the heat. She started mucking out Clown's stall and refilling the mare's waterbucket.
