"Jolly Ranger." she tested, "Ranger. Yeah. I think I would prefer to call you Ranger. It rolls off the tong easier you know?"

Ranger chuckled slightly, nodding. "Yes, I understand. a lot of horses have said that." He answered, studying her carefully. -Her name is just hard to pronounce- Ranger thought with a stifled snort. "Well it was nice to meet you, and I hope we can talk again. At the moment I need to go get a drink and check on some things," He announced, glancing at her before walking off.

"Ok, where do you think that I could find you later?" she asked, careful to sound sweet and kind. "Oh and if you want you can call me Kahlle." she added sweetly.

Angel saw the mare and kept an eye on her. Angel being the lead mare got jealous and protective. Angel cantered toward the mare ears pinned and stopped near the mare and reared.

"What's your problem?" she snarked at the mare. Kahlle's ears were pinned back, her front legs hopping up and down.

Angel feared again ears still pinned. "This is my herd and you have no business here" she said in a harsh protective voice. Angel looked at dune and back at ranger with a sort of spark in her eye. Angels spark was a wild one. No one had ever dulled that spark in her eye and she was sure no one would. Her gaze went back to the mare "I suggest you leave" she said even more harsh then before

Ranger turned back to look at Kahlle, about to answer when the lead mare came cantered up. He stayed quiet but walked forward a couple feet to watch, a sparkle in his eyes. When the fox came to sit between his legs, Ranger smiled slightly and gave it a little nuzzle to show he wasn't going to hurt it. Then he turned his gaze to the lead mare, wondering why she was being so protective. He was trying to decide whether to interfere or let it happen, but Ranger's teasing side always one. That was also his stupid side, at times. He carefully took a couple more steps forward, careful not to touch the fox. Now he was almost in between the smoldering mares. "Hey, you two." Ranger started cheerfully. "I don't really see the point for you mares to fight. Would you point it out for my slower mind?" He asked with a glint in his eye, turning to look at both

Angel listened before giving Ranger a look. Why were stallions brains always so slow? She wondered. She turned back to the strange mare
