Moon wasn't sure what she should do. California and Westery were occupied... so maybe Sol? Moon nodded to herself, then scanned the herd for the palomino stallion. Spotting him, she trotted down the hill and weaved in and out in between horses, before finally reaching Sol. "Hey Sol. I'm bored. Anything you want me to do?"

ghost tossed his hed and troted to his normal spot in the herd under the weeping willow tree he layed down after getting hit by the vines a few times before he drifted to sleep he woke up a bit later and layed there on his side the past years had been hard for him and th foals he acted as a portecter for westery cali and sol as he didnt want to lose them as he did with his mother sister west and mystery ghost stood up and gave himself a good shake before troting out to graze with the herd

She nodded "I know, you remind me all the time to not apolagize, but i shouldn't of cowered away from them like that, it was just. My instincts were kicking in again just like the last two times" Mystery tried explaining looking past him listening closely, she smirked as brightly as she could bare "Haha well trust me when i say i don't want to get rid of you, especially in a creepy dark forest... You might get scared and cry just like me!" She teased trying to lighten the sad mood that always seemed to float about lately. Mystery sighed deeply and glanced at West "I do understand, because i have the same end goals... But you're way skinnier then me, and at the moment, i'm also stronger, so you need as much food and water as i can find for you okay?" She asked glaring him down with a face of concern. She felt slightly better when West FINALLY agreed on resting, she watched him plump down "See? Don't you feel better already?" She asked giving a small but happy smile "Now when you stand up tomorrow morning, you will be quicker on your feet and not as tired or sore in the knees" Mystery explained "Hehh trust me, when i left Flame's herd, i non stop ran in fear of him catching up, i only ever stopped to rest when i felt like my knees would give way, but after that rest? I was able to run completely fine again" Mystery said trying to sound wise from her experience. But she was just trying to do what was best for them both... So that they may return home one day soon. Mystery raised her head and looked at West when he said he'd want to hear what she had to say, when he looked at her she looked away "Oh... Okay, well? I'm sorry, i know it's the worst timing for this... ESPECIALLY since we're lost from the herd where we'd be protected... But i've been feeling different lately, so i've secretly monitored my body's behavier for about a month... And i think i've finally figured out what's been going on, West?" Mystery froze for a moment, trying to think how it would effect him, should she wait incase it stresses him more? Or should she just tell him the truth cause it might push him to take better care of himself? Mystery came to a decision that she thought was right, she hoped she didn't regret it "West, I think i'm uhh..." She struggled to find the words "I think, i'm pregnant? Er..." She grew uncomfortable so she stood up, feeling bad for leaving him to shiver by himself she said "Sorry, i'll lay down in a minute... I just need a moment" She half whispered trying not to let her emotions become overwhelming

He looked down over the herd after Cali went into the herd, he sighed lowering his head to graze when he heard a commotion, he glared in California and Navy's direction, seeing a stallion (Toby), his nostrils flared a little not understanding the stallion's intentions and galloped straight down to the group, he stood tall, having the same muscular shape and form that his father once had, he stood next to Cali and Navy, looking cautiously at this dapple stallion, his ears slighty pinned but not in a threatening way as he spoke "Yes, she is the lead mare, California. And i'm the lead stallion, Sol. Who are you?" He asked in a rather friendly tone but didn't take down his size

She looked at Toby and smiled "Whoa hey hey! It's okay, i don't judge" She tried to reassure when Sol came down and HAD to show his dominence, she flicked her tail against him harshly before interveining "Oh don't mind him, he's just protective over the herd, that's all. We both are, i mean it's all we have left of our parents, and since i'm the oldest, AND lead mare-" She glared at Sol before softening her gaze on Toby "I get to also make important decisions, so my baby brother cannot just kick you of the territory unless you're here for the herd... But i don't smell lies so? My vote is on you to stay, Sol?" She asked looking at her brother with a +Don't you DARE be rude to this innocent horse!+ stare, she couldn't help but look at Tobe over and over and over again... He just looked so.. Familiar

He glared at cali as she spoke -Baby brother? Really?!- He thought grumpily, he sighed and nodded slowly "Alright fine, you can stay. But no funny business!" Sol warned calmly nodding at the two mares before ascending up the hill to keep a watch

She jumped when another stallion came over and almost ran into her (Yay finally replying to you Sunset!) She looked at him (When) and chuckled "Oh no, it's fine. I'm just glad you DIDN'T run into me" She said tossing her head

She felt a piece of her break a little more when her raised hopes came crashing to the ground "Oh... Well they WILL come back one day... Right Ghost?" She asked following the white stallion back to the herd

ghost troted up to the bunch pushing his way through "sol calm down a minute" he said when he was next to him before looking at toby "hello im ghost why are you here may i ask before sol trys to tear you to sreads" after he spoke he half glared at the twins who were acting afool

West snorted quietly at her sad excuses, nuzzling her shoulder. "Instincts happen for a reason, if you haven't figured that out yet. I'm just glad you aren't hurt." He said gently, though his voice was burdened with weariness. Even he couldn't pretend he was fine anymore. At her joking words he offered a faint smile. "Well I'm glad you will graciously allow me to stick around, otherwise I would never know what to do." He answered, his voice a little brighter- though it sounded somewhat forced. While she explained frustratingly good reasons why he should rest and lie down, he proceeded to look grumpy. Well, as jokingly grumpy as he could manage at the moment. "Why do you always have to be right?" West joked with a dramatic sigh, lowering his head slightly. "Yes, I feel better. Thank you for your all knowing wisdom." A slight hint of sarcasm didn't hide the amusement in his voice. "I'm never tired or sore in my knees! And I was never quick on my feet in the first place." He protested with another snort. Still, it did prod his mind that if he never let himself rest then he would never be able to physically keep going. And.. if he couldn't keep going.. any hope he had of seeing Cali, Sol, and Westery again would vanish. So he had to be able to keep going, which meant he had to rest. No matter what. Unless Mystery was in danger. His mind came back from its wandering ways as she started somewhat answering his sort of question. He pricked his ears slightly as if to urge the answer out of her, but of course it didn't help because she looked away. As he listened his heart fell and lifted and squeezed all at the same time, making him feel almost nauseous. As Mystery said his name he froze for a millisecond, dreading and praying for the words that came next. The suspense literally almost killed him, and by the time she had actually started to say the words he felt like a ticking time bomb ready to explode. Finally, however, the words hit hard.. and caused a wave of emotions that definitely made his world go black for a second. Pregnant. Now. This late. No. No no yes yes no yes no yes. Conflicting emotions were worse than fire and water competing for life. He was so overjoyed that he might have another foal, so happy that another baby had been given life (possibly) and so thrilled, but at the same time he was absolutely horrified at the daunting facts. Mystery wasn't old, in any way shape or form, but she had already had three Foals, one being a twin pregnancy, she had been on the run, getting weaker, skinnier, and more ripped up for more than a year, and NOW she was having a foal. He didn't know if HE was strong enough to take care of the three of them, or if they could find their way back to the herd in time, or ANYTHING. Nothing was sure. He didn't even know if she was pregnant for SURE. It would explain a lot though. Why oh why? It was always a blessing, but right now it also seemed like a curse. Of course he would love this foal more than anything, excluding Cali, Sol, Westery, and Mystery, but he didn't want Mystery to have to deal with THIS too. She was strong, and West didn't doubt that, but he didn't know how strong. He was so, so, so worried. He didn't want the foal or Mystery to get hurt. And a small selfish part of him was dreading the responsibility, the EXTRA responsibility, that it would put on him. If they hadn't found the herd by then, he'd have to protect and care for Mystery and the foal... even if Mystery refused the fact she needed help at all.

Finally coming out of his daze, he blinked as she stood. How had that whole thought process only taken a minute or so? It felt like hours he'd been trapped in his own mind. West slowly remembered to breathe, regaining his bearings. "Mystery... if you really do think you are pregnant, I just want to reassure you in any way I can that I will do everything in my power to protect and help you and the baby. Even if that means resting myself so I can be of better use. If there is absolutely anything I can do at any time, please please PLEASE tell me." West finally decided to go with the shorter, simpler form of his speech, and stuff all his other worries in *Box to deal with Later*

Toby jerked his head up slightly, looking extremely nervous as a palomino stallion came up and GLARED at him. +Holy Mackeral, what did I do!?+ he thought worriedly, immediately lowering his head and backing up, feeling wrong standing there now. "I-I am American Ride but everyone calls me Toby.." He answered quietly with a SLIGHT trembling voice. He didn't want to come off as rude. Plus he had been startled by Sol's quick appearance. At Cali's words he lifted his head a fraction of an inch, slight hope shining in his eyes. He just wanted to be near and talk to horses that wouldn't reject him because he was a stallion. His head lifted again as Cali mentioned taking over the herd and he shook his head rather violently. "Never! I would never even dare think about that! I don't even understand why the stallions that do take over herds don't just walk a bit and find their own mares! They're lazy!" He snorted, managing to sound slightly pleading and a little annoyed at the same time. "All I want is to hang around, so if I make any trouble feel free to kick my butt all the way to Timbuktoo." Toby offered a smile, directing it towards Sol more prominently- mostly because he wanted to get on this stallion's Good side. After this he had retreated to the far side of the herd, spending a little time by the stream to think about how there were still kind horses in the world and why the minnows in the stream were SO DARN BIG.
