West pricked his ears, earring the sound of a horse in pain. Then he heard a snarl he'd recognize anywhere. Cougar! Wild West ran as hard as he could, seeing the animal atop Lily's back. He literally launched himself into the air, landing by the cougar and startling it to lose its grip for one second, and when Lily bucked again it fell off. Then West bellowed, "Lily! Back up!" He was in his game now. He smiled slightly, backing up. The cougar looked confused. It snarled, thinking the stallion was afraid of it. When it got ready to pounce West darted forward, body slamming the cougar to the ground. He yelped in pain, slashing West's shoulder before darting a few feet back, then launching itself into the air without a moments notice. It landed on Wests back. The cougar big his neck and slashed his sides and back, but West knew what to do. He stopped bucking and performed his famous trick. West laid down suddenly, rolling on the ground on top of the cougar. The cougar screamed in pain, that having broken its leg. Then West got up, reared, bellowed a fierce cry of triumph, and brought his hooves down atop the injured animal, ending its misery. His wounds were bleeding terribly, and he looked at Lily. "Good job for screaming." He wheezed, coughing slightly

Lily just stared in shock. "Tha- thank- you." She managed to say, still gazing in terror and amazement.

"You're bleeding! Badly! We need to get help!"

West shook his head. "It was my pleasure, and I'm not bleeding that bad,y. I'll be fine." He snorted, his vision swimming. "It was a small cougar anyway..." he muttered before falling over with a crash, passing out. He saw Lily rush forward in shock just before his vision went black

After frantically trying to wake West up, Lily grabbed his mane as gently as possible and dragged him toward the forest. After a grueling 7 minutes, Lily set him down and cried out for help. She then lay down next to him and put her head on his chest.

(I think we need a new character in the story now)

West grunted quietly, his vision blurred he opened his eyes a crack. The light streaming in seemed extremely bright... "I'm fine." He muttered lowly, raising his head. His wounds had stopped bleeding but he had a terrible head ache. He looked around, then spotted Lily. "Really... I'm fine." He coughed, trying to roll to his belly

"Don't move! I'll get you some water!"

|
"No no really..." he murmured, hauling himself to his feet. He was dizzy for a second, but his vision cleared quite quickly. He blinked, looking around. His wounds were painful, but not too bad. He tried walking a couple steps... he could manage that. So he followed Lily to the water and took a big drink

"I'm glad you can stand, but... Don't you think we should care for your wounds." Lily was very wary with wounds and she had been hurt often, yet not as much as West was now.
