Luna | 6 yr old | Mare | Oldenburg x Mustang Cross | M: Toby, Open. Luna would be at the stream, having her head already down as she drinks some water, quenching her thirst. She flicked her tail to her left at a fly trying to land on her, feeling rather peaceful before she heard something that made her head shot up like a deer with perked ears. Her green eyes glanced around the area before her eyes landed on Toby, a confused look softly showed on her equine face, watching him with caution as the young mare took a step back, her ears immediately pointed backwards. where did he come from? How did I not see or hear him earlier? Did I zone out again? She thought to herself, standing stiffly while watching him, already assuming that he maybe didn't see her since the crossbred usually didn't bring attention to herself. |

(Wild, yeah lol I just gave you a reward!) Mystery glanced down at West as he finally spoke, breaking the silence, she nodded slowly before speaking "well, with each day that goes by i believe it a little more. I guess we'll know for sure if my stomach starts getting fat over the next few months, but what if I am pregnant? I didn't think my poor old body COULD handle another pregnancy... Let alone another birth!" Mystery said beginning to panic, she stopped talking and tried to calm down before laying down next to West, eventually looking at him almost defeated, but she listened to him continue "I'm sorry, I know it's literally the worst timing. But thank you for not being annoyed... No! Thank you for reassuring me that we will all be fine. I want to believe you West, and so I will. And there IS actually two things I need you to do! First wish, please PLEASE start taking better care of yourself, I don't think I can do this without you... As for my second wish? I just want you to help me feel better right now cause at the moment I'm not sure how i feel, i want to talk to you, but I also want you to get some sleep. Are you warmer now that I'm back next to you?" Mystery asked offering a weak but caring smile with a small nuzzle to his neck _____ California Cali sighed a long breath of relief when Sol related and went back up their father's hill, she nodded with a friendly smile to Toby than looked at Navy "Sorry about that, you ready to go?" Cali asked with a glance over the horizon with a hidden hope stuck down deep inside her that she'd see the two familiar pelts cantering back ______ Westery She trotted to the river to be alone and get a drink, after taking a deep drink Westery looked at her reflection in the water, trying to remember any memories she could about her mom and dad, she suddenly bursted into tears as she KNEW her memory of Mystery and West were slowly beginning to fade away into a bedtime story "It isn't fair! THIS isn't fair! I just want my mommy and daddy!" Westery cried galloping off into the treeline to hide away till she got it all out (This is so sad it's even breaking my heart!) |

West pinned his ears slightly as Mystery started to spiral into panic. That wasn't going to help anything. "You are strong enough. I've been with you for how many years now and I've never, NEVER, met anyone stronger." He stated quietly yet firmly, looking at her. "Don't give up before you've started fighting. You have never lost until you say you have." He murmured, nudging her neck softly. "And don't ever apologize. Stop apologizing. Every time you apologize it hurts my very brains." He snorted, then continued. "We can't choose when the timing will be, and everything can ALWAYS get worse. For instance, we are both still alive, aren't we? Doesn't that offer a pretty big thing that could get very worse very fast?" He asked softly. West then proceeded to listen to what she was asking, sighing softly yet already telling himself he was going to abide by her wishes. Even if he didn't want to all too much. At least the second one was something he could easily do. "I will rest, but I can easily talk to you first and not lose any sleep. And yes, I am warmer, but stop worrying about me for, say, 5 minutes and get your worries off your own shoulders. Then I can offer some spectacular advice about why you shouldn't be worrying we can both be happy then we will all fall asleep." West cracked a smile, knowing it was never that simple... but he wanted it to be. Oh, how did he want it to be. He wished many things, but right now, if one single wish could be granted... he wanted to get back to the herd, see his Foals, and be in a better place to take care of Mystery. +++ Navy waited a little behind Cali as the grey stallion- Toby- spoke. He definitely seemed nice. Of course, it could be a trick but she had NEVER seen anyone act that well if it was. As Cali spoke she pricked her ears slightly and bobbed her head. "Ready as I'll ever be!" She answered, slightly sorrowful when she saw her lead mare's glance. Navy could guess what Cali was looking for, but she knew it probably wouldn't come true. Looking deep down, at the raw facts... it didn't look good. Especially for West, knowing what she knew about him, including the part about him being a whole two years older than Mystery. +++ Toby glanced up as a pretty grey mare came near the stream, but he didn't move and continued his musings about why the minnows were big. However, he stopped that rather quickly when the grey mare yelled something out that sounded WAY too sad and like it was said through tears. No way could he let that go! Not even hesitating for a second he quickly trotted after the shape and disappeared into the treeline. He kept his distance a little but got close enough so the mare could see him before speaking. "Hey.. whats wrong? Are you okay?" He asked with such genuine concern it was almost adorable. |

When snorted and pawed the ground paceing back and forth. His stomach hurt. A LOT. he had never been in sooo much pain. He walked a ways away from the herd and lay down rooling in the grass to try to relive the pain. However that only made it worse. |

(yaaaa my old Friesian stallion Taj had passed from Colic... the only reason we couldn't help him earlier is because he hated pain so he ignored it and didn't show any signs... So I wasn't aware until it was too late) |

_________ Mystery Mystery smiled gently at West's words, she had to admit she did feel a LITTLE better about the whole situation. She nodded "Thanks, i'm so happy i was lucky enough to meet you, you and our foals ARE everything to me. I hope you still know that" Mystery said, her croaky voice leaving for a few words, she nuzzled him back then laid her head on the ground "So... I know things aren't looking so bright, but hopefully WHEN we find our way back to your herd... Can you imagine the faces of everyone? Especially the twins and Westery?" Mystery said with a almost forced chuckle (I'll do more later, i'm at work rn) |
