He laughed, quite weakly but still a laugh. "I've had this happen before. I'll be fine! I just wash off in the river daily and Tada! My wounds are already healing, really. Don't worrying about me." He offered a smile, but there was still pain in his gaze. His wounds obviously hurt

"You are obviously hurt! Don't hide it, you can tell me the truth." Lily was being stern but kind saying these words.

"It hurts a little but I'm telling the truth when I said I'll be fine." West grunted, walking toward the river and laying down, letting the cool water seep over his wounds. He winced.

"Well... Alright. But you must rest the whole day today. No more fighting." Lily insisted, following him into the river.

"You really think I just fight for fun?" West rolled his eyes, splashing himself with the water. He stood back up, shaking and walked out, eating some grass. "I fight when I need to. I ht when I'm protecting someone, in this case, you." He said, tossing his mane

"Have fun." West called, then added, "but don't get attacked." He snorted, walking towards the tall, lush grass next to the river. He started grazing, hoping no predators decided to come at the smell of blood. He shook his mane, shivering slightly as a cool breeze washed over his pelt and he saw Lily disappear into the mist that was now blowing in.

(Umm... I'll right something lemme see..." West suddenly heard a snarl. He perked his ears, jumping up from his laying position. ANOTHER cougar stalked into the clearing. It was smaller... the female mate to the one he had killed! West pinned his ears warily, snorting. The cougar pounced, and West reared up, batting it out of the air with his front legs. It slashed his shoulder, on top of an old injury and he stumbled, crashing to the ground
