Luna | 6 yr old | Mare | Oldenburg x Mustang Cross | M: Open. Luna let out a sigh when she watched the two horses leave the stream. "That was....something?" The young mare quietly said to herself, quite puzzled by the display that just happened before heading back the same way that she came but she let herself become reckless, leaving herself out in the open for anyone to spot. The lone Mare probably wouldn't notice her mistake as her mind was somewhere else, looking straight in front of her as she walked, her head kinda low while she flicked her tail at a fly that tried to land on her rump. Luna was thinking back on certain events in another herd that she use to be apart of with her dam....relentless Batchelor attacks, one after another....she couldn't forget it, even if she wanted to....the image of a stallion with a scar over his left eye still haunts her since yearling hood. |

(I've gotta go so I'll make this post then log off. Wow, I missed a lot!) - Moon | 7 yr old | Mare | M: open Moon didn't see anything she was needed for. She turned and looked across the herd. She barely saw Westery gallop off into the forest before she disappeared behind the treeline. Moon, finally finding something to do, sprang forward into a gallop after Westery. She leapt the stream and slowed to a quick trot to get around the trees. She followed the sound of Westery's hooves until she finally found her in a small clearing. Moon approached slowly and gently, lowering her head as she came, to show she was a friend. "Hey, Westery. Are you okay?" - Sol | 3 yr old | Lead Stallion | M: none Sol looked around his herd. All seemed fine. Until he saw When. He looked like he was in horrible pain. Concerned, Sol trotted over. Sol couldn't see anything wrong. No flesh wounds, no broken bones... Could When be sick? If so, should he try to keep the rest of the her away from him in case it spread? Sol's Lead Stallion insticts kicked up, and he started imagining all sorts of horrible things that could happen to When or anybody else. |

West offered a smile. However tired and sore he felt he could always come through with a shining smile. "I am even more blessed that I met you. I'd be completely lost, long ago, without you. And I can somehow imagine that, yes." He chuckled quietly, though it was slightly forced. Lowering his head and closing his eyes, he waited until she spoke again, laughing a little then wincing. He didn't regret the laugh though. It felt good to laugh. "I can't imagine. When we do find our way back, it'll be the light of my world to watch their faces and then never let go." He whispered quietly. "When we find them... I'm never moving an inch from their side for the rest of my life." West added, his murmuring voice getting softer as he slowly drifted off. "I love you Mystery... and I will get you back home." His last words were so quiet they were barely audible before he dropped into a deep sleep. |

(Awwwww nooooooooooooooo I'm backkkk! Waiiit... That's a good thing i think? XD) Mystery smiled, this time genuinely. "Yeah i can agree, Once we get back, i will make sure none of us EVER separate from the herd again.. I miss them so much" Mystery muttered with a yawn. At West's last few words a small tear came out her closed eyes (Of happy and safety) "I love you two West, i'll always have your back" Mystery managed to get out before going blank, a deep breath escaped the sleeping mare ________________ California She smiled at Navy "Thank you again" She said nudging Navy's neck gently before trotting out of the herd, she let out a whinnie to let Sol know she'd be back later (Aww bye Galloping!). She went along the stream with her head raised and eyes sharp ____________ Westery Westery looked up as a mare and stallion came up to her -They followed me?- She thought confused, embarrassed about crying she shook the tears away and stood up, looking at the two "Umm... Yeah i'm okay.. Just miss my parents, that's all. Sorry if you guys heard me" She said bowing her head |

West swore he slept eternity away. Night was well gone and it was almost midday the next day that he finally pulled himself from his seemingly endless slumber. At first he was all panicked about how long he slept and how much time he wasted, then he reminded himself that he didn't really have much to do.. it wasn't like he knew which direction to go in to find the herd. If he did, he would've been there a year ago. He decided not to move for a couple moments, taking the time to consider the options he had that day and decide what exactly to do. +++ Navy tossed her mane with a nod. "It really is my pleasure." She answered, thinking about how hard it was for Cali, Sol, and Westery to be without their parents. Plus, not that it mattered, but she really did want to meet the famous West and Mystery. Navy then followed the dapple grey mare, her head raised, ears perked, and eyes alert for any sign of movement. +++ Toby lowered his head, a little embarrassed that he hadn't even thought about the repercussions of his actions before coming over here. "Are your parents missing?" He couldn't help but ask, then winced. "Aw I'm sorry, stupid question. And don't apologize- my dad died a little while ago and my mom went missing a year before that." He added quietly. "Sorry about your parents though..." |

_________ Westery She glanced a look from one horse to the other, when the stallion finally spoke her ear flicked "I uh-" She let him finish, her curious gaze turning to sheer horror as she heard what had happened to his parents "Oh no... I'm so sorry to hear that, i hope my mum and dad are at least alive... I can almost barely remember them... But my older siblings tell me about them all the time to help me keep my early memories, and i know my father was the bravest horse i ever really knew, with Ghost coming hot in second place. An my mother was as sweet and gentle as a apple to others. But i'm so scared that one day i WILL forget what they look like.." Westery explained with a low sigh looking around than looking back at them "My name is Westery, whqt are your names?" She asked trying not to sound so depressing __________ Mystery After a loooong much needed nights sleep, Mystery woke up slowly, raising her head and looking at the tops of the trees trying to figure out what time it was, she stood up and body shook, glanced at West for a moment making sure he was okay before walking a few meters away and scanning the never-ending looking trees "I wish we Could at LEAST find a big enough clearing with a small stream, and enough grass for us both, my golden coat most likkely needs to be washed, i bet we're both hungry and thirsty... Hmm." Mystery closed her eyes and thought long and hard hoping she had a hidden sense of direction, but nothing came to her, after a minute she looked at him "I'm going about ten minutes this direction to look for something for us to eat and hopefully drink, will you be alright by yourself?" Mystery asked, she did notice that West's sleep was doing him good, she turned back the direction she was thinking o going and waited for West to give the 'okay' _________ California As the pair looked, Cali didn't let a single moving object escape her stare, but after almost two hours she sighed quietly knowing that today was probably just another day the two horses she missed the most were stuck out there in the vast world... Again. California glanced at Navy throughout the search and had noticed that the mare seemed REALLY REALLY obedient and alert to what ever words came out of the twins mouths lately, which Cali thought was just slightly dramatic "Umm.. Navy? Mind if i talk to you before we go back?" She asked softly, when Navy was close enough she smiled "You know, you Don't HAVE to act so... Professional, Sol and i Wouldn't be mad if you did your own thing. I just don't like feeling bossy, or like im making you follow me, maybe even think of me and Sol as your regular old herd mares.. Er- Herd mare and stallion" She giggled at the end thinking about Sol as a mare |

When looked at Sol his eyes wide with pain. He pawed the ground and snorted. He rolled again. Not able to say anything he looked at Sol asking for help with his huge brown eyes. |

Toby shook his head a little. "Don't worry about it, I've gotten over it." He said with slight cheerfulness, which very well could be fake. He then tried hard not to feel pity for this mare, cause no one liked being pitied, but he did feel sympathetic. "I'm sure they are alive. If what you're saying is true then they are probably trying to find their way back right now." Toby stated confidently, although he didn't know for sure he had a feeling that these horses she described would make it through. "So forgive me for asking but you said your dad was really brave? What was his name?" He asked quietly... even those few words had sparked a memory inside of him. "I'm sure Cali and Sol won't let you forget them! Those two are super nice horses, having let me stick around, so of course they won't leave you hanging." He tried to offer a reassuring smile but he was still thinking about what she had said about her father. "Nice to meet you Westery! That's a beautiful name, by the way." Toby paused, and really his words were so sincere anyone could tell he didn't mean harm with them. "I'm American Ride but everyone calls me Toby because the other name is waaayyy too long to say every single time." +++ West had drifted into thought as his brain wandered again... it seemed that happened way to much these days. As Mystery spoke he opened his eyes and lifted his head. "That's a good idea... but please be back soon." He answered with a slow tone, worry showing clearly in his voice. After she had gone he stood, though it definitely wasn't as simple as that. Waiting for a moment as the nausea left, West decided to go a little ways in the other direction, but not too far that he wouldn't be back before her. He slowly walked off that way, his ears pricked, nostrils flared, head lifted, and eyes alert for any sign of anything. +++ Navy stayed completely silent as to be able to completely focus on the forest and not miss anything. Her eyes scanned every tree and every bush, looking for clues as to if the two horses they had been looking for had passed through there. After a while Cali stopped and spoke, causing Navy to turn, deciding that probably meant their search was over. Still, why was Cali speaking like that? Had she done something wrong? +yeesh, you sound like a filly asking her mom if she shouldn't have gotten the apples. Grow up+ she thought before focusing on Cali's words. After the lead mare finished Navy waited for a moment until she smiled, rather sadly. "I guess I have been a little like a robot. Sorry for that. It probably shouldn't, since I never knew your parents, but it means a lot to me to find them... when I was just a yearling my herd got taken over by a horrible stallion and my father got killed in the process. Later on my mother tried to protect me and get me out so she got killed too, along with a foal that the stallion had caused to be there. I managed to get out.. but my mother gave her life for it, and I was only 2, so I didn't know if I'd survive on my own. Anyway, enough with the sob story, but the point is.. I guess I don't want you, and Sol, and Westery to lose their parents like I lost mine." Navy explained, sighing slightly. "But I could see Sol as a mare." She laughed a little. |

Westery nodded slowly "Ooohhkay, well at lest you don't dwell on the past sad stuff" She said looking off into the distance before re-focusing (Sorry i have to say it! Toby reminds me a lot of Ticci Toby lol you didn't base his can do attitude off of THAT character did you? XD) "Oh, my father's name was West! Or- As Sol LOVES to call him during storytime: Wild West! He was a very well known stallion!" Westery said almost as if the wind had backed up the legendary name. She lowered her head and snorted out a fly "Yeah, i know. They wnt to be just like mum and dad. I'm also aiming for that, but i guess it'll take more time" She said shaking her front leg from over-itchyness. Her face however did brighten up almost completely back to it's original self when Toby said he liked her name "Really? Thank you, it's a mix of my parent's names... Hehh i was always jealous that my older siblings got normal names like California and Sol. And for what it's worth American Ride? I think both your names sound cool!" She exclaimed with a confident nod __________ Mystery Mystery nodded when he said it was fine as long as she was back soon "I will" than raced off through the trees, her canter didn't really last as long as it usually did, it only made her dizzy to KEEP cantering after 5 minutes so she slowed to a more lazy trot, she felt fine after that -It must be because im not eating like i should... I can't fail! i need to find food, lot's of it!- She thought eagerlly, giving herself enough encouragement to speed up a little, she lost track of time and ended up going 25 minutes away from the meet up spot, but at long last she found a small clearing! It didn't really have much water but there seemed to be a few random patches of grass! Mystery couldn't believe it! after ages of eating the scattered nibbles of grass, she hadn't seen this amount of grass in a long while (Which isn't a entire field but should be enough to feed them both hah). Excited, Mystery turned and moved backfollowing her tracks as quickly as she could without getting dizzy. When she was close enough to the meet up area Mystery let out the loudest whinnie she could muster (Which wasn't very loud. Buut Loud enough) "West! Come quick! I found some grass to fill us both!" She murmered excitedly, waiting for the stallion to come than turning and slowly leading him back to the small clearing she found ________ California The mare smiled and shook her head "You don't need to apologize for anything, you probably didn't even realize you were doing it" She said softly. As Navy continued, Cali's ears fell back in almost disbelief but mainly sorrow. Once Navy finished talking Cali walked up to her and nuzzled her "Oh Navy... I'm sorry, i- I didn't know.. I think i see now why you want to help so badly, you don't want us going through the same thing you did.. I'm worried for Westery's sake, but i's sure they're on their way back! And i'm glad you found your way to this herd, because now you have me, Sol, Westery, Moon, When and the rest of tne herd as your friends and back up!" California reassured with a grin (Oh my got ! Theory Time! Navy was in a herd where a horrible stallion took over... Her mother also died fighting for wht's right... Is Navy from Flame's herd?! B0 ) (Also, NOW i'm finished! thank you for being patient! <3) |

Luna stopped in her tracks before looking over at the herd, realizing that she had put herself out in the open instead of hiding herself. The young mare started to feel her old herd instincts start to kick in but the crossbred shook her head, not really sure if joining a Herd would be a good idea. She use to be in a Herd once but.....lost it to a Bachelor attack, she had to run...she had to or....Luna shook her head again, not wanting to think about what would have happened if she had stayed. She let out a kinda tired huff, wanting to rest but also wanting to push herself to keep moving, feeling like a constant battle. |
