I will! The silly guy stepped on my foot twice put his weight into it to see how I would react lol I could get him to walk on the halter he wanted eat grass so I had to be a little bit more aggressive than normal and he would crowhop when he was asked to canter anytime which is what I was informed of after the fact lol I have to start back at the basics lol

How awesome Wolf! I would recommend spending time with him outside of "working". Just hang out with him in his paddock and get to know him.

have you read The Man Who Listens to Horses? It really changed the way I interact with my ponies and they've become MUCH more responsive, especially on the ground! :D

Topic Change :)
I'm working at a new ranch and I love it! And I'm getting to work with a new horse which is exciting! He a mustang and has basic training but I'm going to be the one working on refining the skills and making him more responsive to less force from the rider. However right now I'm in like his "testing" period and am sorta struggling to connect with him lol he's very stubborn and determined to do sorta the opposite of what I want, any tips on getting out of the testing zone and into a start of a relationship between horse and rider? I know being patient and gentle yet firm but any other tips?

Luna was about to answer Stolen but got distracted by Flash, trying to think of something to say before gritting her teeth at the moment of being stumbled over by another mare (Hope). The young mare let out a little frustrated snort that's mixed with tiredness.

Stolen backed away suddenly as the young mare tripped over who he now knew as Luna. The other stallion seemed to show out of nowhere, and it was all very overwhelming to Stolen. He reared slightly, the whites of his eyes clear.

The mare would have a startled but puzzled look on her face, looking at Flash directly with her ears kinda back. "How did you know my name?" She didn't tell this stallion her name, how the heck did he know?!

Flash was confused - how did he know? one of the other horses must have told him but he didn't remember that happening. At the back of his mind was a memory. Just out of reach.
