The woman came into the room Amber was in "again" she demanded. Amber hadn't slept a wink that night and now her eyes were beginning to close on her "wake up girl and speak for heavens sake!"
"I'm tired" she said sleepily. The woman smiled "Awh are you?" She said in a mocking baby voice "did he or did he not take your food from you?!" Amber sighed "yes he took my food from me" she lied.

She unshackled Amber from the chair and brought her back to the room. "Go sit in your corner and don't make a sound or move a muscle" Amber did as she was told while the woman went over and kicked Sage "wake up!"

Sage opened one eye and rolled it then turned over with a grunt and went back to sleep. She snarled and kicked his broken rib and the grabbed the chain around this neck and drug him to his feet. He grit his teeth together and made sure to stomp on her foot as he landed. She glared at him and slammed him into the wall before kicking him again and again. She stormed off and as she ran out the door he closed his eyes again. Maybe now I can sleep in peace. Or rather, pretend to sleep while the pain devours me alive

Amber stood up and was about to check on him but decided against it he's badly hurt but he growls and will probably bite me she slid down the wall again refusing to sleep just incase they come back.

Sage stared at the wall for a while before deciding to get up and lean against the wall. He rolled his feet with a grunt of pain and then staggered towards the wall. He plopped down on the corner and used his head to support his body weight, since his back was still raw from the whip. A while later, men came into the cell and grabbed noth him and the girl. He snarled and kicked and bit until someone gagged him. He gasped for breath, and when his vision returned to normal, he saw they were in a room like a blacksmith's. One of the men lifted a hot iron with a logo on it. "Don't worry. This will hurt a lot more than it seems," he grinned. He pulled Sages shirt to the side and pressed the brand to his chest, right below his left collarbone. Sage let out a strangled yell and tried to fight but they held him still. The man took the brand off of Sage and put it down on the table before getting a freeze brand for the girl. "Dont worry girly...the painful brands are only used for ones who need to be broken. This might itch but that's it." He started towards her with the brand.

Amber looked at the man with wide eye filled with fear "no" she croaked.

the man stopped "ahh the cat gave your tongue back did it?" He said with an evil chuckle. "Are you becoming rebellious little one?"

Another man placed his hand on her shoulder and dug his fingers in. Amber let out a small Yelp "don't make me use the painful one" he said shaking his head disappointedly.

Amber closed her eyes, her body trembling "there's a good little girl" he said with a menacing smile and he walked nearer to to her.
Amber suddenly took out the man holding her shoulder and she picked up the hot iron, ready to fight anyone who came near her.

"ahh we have a little fighter on our hands boys, she won't use it, just get her"

three men approached her and she got them each in the face, arms and legs, and they fell to floor in pain.

Sage let out a cackle and rolled, sending all of the men holding him down flying. He ignored the pain in his side and backflipped, bringing his hand in front of him. He took the gag out of his mouth and used his teeth to untie his hands. He walked over to one of the men laying on the floor and snatched his dagger, moving it over his fingers before palming it. "You didn't really think you would beat me, did you," he hissed at them. The woman growled and grabbed a huge longsword, charging him. In a few smooth steps, Sage crossed the room and slid past the woman, slitting her throat as he went. She gasped and fell to the floor, all of the men backing up a few steps before one of them stepped forward. "Don't be afraid of him - he's not as strong as he seems. I am a scientist, and I've taken blood samples. This is a seventeen-year-old boy who hasn't eaten in over a week or drank anything in almost three days. Just wear him down." The men looked at each other for a moment and then all rushed him. He ran straight into the middle of the pack, fighting with all his strength. He was about halfway through when one of the men pick up a gun and got a lucky shot in. The bullet hit a rib, missing his organs, but he yelled and stumbled. He regained his footing, however, his anger making him keep going. He snarled and chased the men out of the room, killing off every last one before walking back into the room and throwing a brick at the window. He climbed out and walked into the woods, where he slowly sank onto the ground, vision wavering. He couldn't take the collar off, since his hands were shaking from blood loss. So maybe I'll finally be in peace. He pressed a hand to his side momentarily before his vision went white and he yanked his hand away, growling. He lay there, struggling to breathe, coming in and out of consciousness.

Amber ran after the boy and easily caught up with him. Fuck this I'm helping him for now then he's no longer my problem

she took off his collar and pulled the bullet out. While amber was on the streets a doctor used to bring her to his hospital so she could learn how to take care of herself, this is why Amber knows what she has to do.

Amber always kept a very small medical supply bag with a bandage and a few plasters to help keep her going if something happened.
She used the bandage on his wound and dragged him to the hospital where the man worked "Him...shot...beaten" she said to the doctor.

"nice to see you too Amber" the doctor chuckled "where have you been? I was worried about you" and shifted around uncomfortably "taken" she said after a while. The man was fixing the boy up "taken?" He said without looking up "you have taken drugs?" He sounded concerned

"no" she said while helping him "me and him...taken...men" The doctor put two and two together and realised what she was trying to say "ahh, you two should stay here..for tonight at least, his burn wound is serious"

amber nodded "do you know his name?" He asked her. Amber shook her head

Sage had woken up about halfway through the conversation. He got up and stood behind the doctor. "I'd rather stay outside," he muttered. When the doctor jumped he grinned slightly before wincing and rubbing his jaw.

Amber flinched and curled herself up "stay" she said before he left "stay" amber looked at the boy "safe...men...taken...gone" the doctor looked at Amber "Amber you have to use full sentences or you don't make much sense" he looked at her pitifully.

I don't know how to say it! "Wound bad" she said while ignoring the doctor

He glanced at the girl and waved his hand. "Eh, I'll be fine. Do you know how many times I've been shot in my life?" Why are they helping me? Theres got to be something bad about this. Nobody is just nice...at least nobody I've ever met or heard of.
