Myst whinnied in confusion as she was herded back towards the others but moved with them nonetheless. Her ears moved around as she listened for any signs of danger, but she couldn't hear much over the sound of the other horses and the river. Edited at November 1, 2022 03:36 PM by Eunoia Eve

Arion looked over at the handsome stallion. She hadn't met him yet, but thought his name was Sultan. The black mare looked away, not wanting to be caught staring.

Tigress was alert for any signs of the wolves getting closer. She circled the foals protectively, if the danger got any closer she would jump into action and destract them so the herd could get away. An intricate plan of action was already forming in her head. From years of being untouchable and feared, she knew how to fight for her life, and, if nessicary, escape danger. This herd was the only herd that had ever offered her kindness, so she would protect them like she would protect herself, without fear.

He watched, seeing the wolves come through the forest, realizing they didn't look threatening. He bared his teeth and pinned his ears, stamping his feet and swishing his tail. The wolves tucked their tails, showing they weren't a threat, took quick drinks, and left. He stood guard a moment longer before wandering back to his herd. He nickered lightly, his ears pricked, his trot light. "The wolves are gone," he said to Lilac.

Tigress let her body relax in relief as one of the stallions in the herd threatened the wolves, they tucked their tails and headed off, not wanting to pick a fight they couldn't win. Tigress was the strongest mare in the herd, but some days she needed a break, it was a lot of work to repay the debt she owed this herd for taking such a stubborn and dangerous mare in, showing her kindness. But she worked with pride. Seeing the threat was gone she dipped her head to take a drink. However, she never let her gaurd down, she never could, her past had taught her to always be alert. Her ears flicked to and fro, listening for anything and everything.

Suddenly, Farnight emerged from the thick brush, all in a fluster. As he whinnied a greeting, he thought "What did I miss?" He lowered his head to take a drink from the nearby stream, and he reflected on his time in the herd. He was feeling very confused and wished someone would explain what had happened. Ever since the herd had rescued him as a foal, he felt like the herd was not sharing everything with him, and wished he was more included. Edited at November 1, 2022 04:01 PM by Lucky Stables

Tigress felt bad for Farnight, he always missed all the action somehow. Sometimes she caught him alone looking unincluded. She casually totted over to him, nickering a greeting. She knew what it felt like to be an outcast and she didn't want him to be alone. She had flown solo for forever, she worked alone. She didn't trust other horses because she had been let down in the past, but in this herd she didn't have to worry about that, her job was to protect them fircely, they were the ones that trusted her. This is why she wanted to help Farnight, she didn't want him to end up like her, an outcast with trust issues.
