Hello! I am working really hard to learn the specifics when finding perfect/exact matches when breeding. This RO I have tried hard to find good matched and somehow I'm failing and its actually worse than last RO. The stud ive been using the past 2 RO's is not available this year due to him retiring so I dont have him to fall back on. Id like to stay under 30-40k. Are any of these guys a good match for her? I'm completely second guessing myself and what I thought I knew about matches :( This one is in jump specific training, Can I figure out if this is a match with him not in AD training? I've ultimately confused myself at this point. |

Luckily for you, since you're breeding ISH, you don't have to stick to just ISH studs. Pretty much any breed crossed with an ISH will be an ISH. I'd recommend breeding to an SH, there's some in your budget that are stronger than most ISH :) Here are some ABLB studs in your price range that match the mare AND can give you some extra color Khaos Ēostre Fire Opal |

Unfortunately just week 8 of training showing one weakness doesn't give us much to go on. You'll have to track another 4-8 weeks before you'll really be able to match her well. Of the boys you listed, everyone besides You better be shiny could be a nice match, since they're strongest in Hrt, which looks like her weakest trait. Without knowing her strengths, it's kind of a shot in the dark which would be best. As far as the SD boy, there's really no way to match him. If a stud is trained AD for the first 8-16 weeks and has tracking from that period you can match based on that even if they're SD later. I don't think that boy was ever trained AD though. It looks like he was XC and then switched to jumping after he hit schoolmaster, and even for boys who were AD, without tracking it's a gamble. |
