I have a liver chestnut Welsh D in RL with a parti-coloured eye and I don't think he has any "special" genetics.

In RL horses get blue eyes when the white marking comes close to the horses eyes. I don't know if its the same in HEE, but it may be

Double cream or splash (as in the above horses) will do it but there are other things as well, such as maximum sabino that will result in blue eyes

Max sabino doesn't result in blue eyes.
Splash white and frame are the only two white patterns that'll result in blue eyes.
Double cream and then cream plus pearl (i.e palomino pearl) will result in blue eyes.

Somewhere about a week ago I saw a gray hiding cremello in the game and he had blue eyes with no white markings.

Grey horses that carry cream can have blue eyes. My favourite are the dapple greys with blue eyes

I saw someone saying that splash white and frame are the only patterns that can result in blue eyes, but one of my stallions is a perlino dun tobiano and he has blue eyes. Is it because he's perlino or?
