Ive messaged her and her parents multiple times to tell them whats going on and i allready mentioned potential lawsuits, but no reply. Theyve seen the messages. I'm not sure if it would be any help at all but we do have CCTV footage of her taking him out, tacking up and riding him, in case we needed it. I feel bad because she's a sweet person, but its just totally unacceptable to take him out without telling or asking ANYBODY. Me and my trainer as well as the yard manager are all fuming. Ive spoken to the yard manager and there is a rule in place there that you cannot take others horses out with no permission, so if we need evidence we also have that. honestly ill just be glad to see her go. People are fucking crazy.

If anybody tried that shit at my barn they would be out on their asses immediately. No second chances. It's incredible your barn hasn't already kicked her out yet.

At an old reining barn I used to board at, I had the same issue with people riding my mare and taking her out to brush her or braid her mane. I hated it, honestly it is the reason I don't board. I found out that my trainer at the time was having multiple people ride my horse every day for hours, all of them were people I would never would let ride my horses(they were very floppy and like to pull very hard). I was even asked to let a random girl take her to a show without me their(of course I said no). I also had multiple girls say that they ride her every day and have "special'connections" with her. It was infuriating. She started acting crazy and became very confused, angry, and hard to ride. Everyone was told to my weren't allowed to ride her or touch her, nobody cared lol We left and now she is normal. It was SO frustrating, I hope she stops touching your horses!

Thistleberry Farm said: i know! She took out my gelding from his stable, groomed him and tacked him up with tack that wasnt his, got on him and did a full hour of riding him. She's very lucky that he is a big softie and wouldnt hurt her, but if she had gotten injured or something while riding my horse, i dont know what i would have done.
shes very lucky you're nicer than me if it were me she would be inconvinved by the stupidest shit i could come up with for the rest of her time at the barn. because punching people is illegal.

i still had it out with her lol. Turned into her just standing there acting all innocent and me getting all red faced and listing off the multiple bad things that could have happened. She was trying to say some shit like "oh yeah but my friends sisters boyfriends brother used to ride here and he said i could ride him..." like...what Savannah Stables said: Thistleberry Farm said: i know! i know, right. She's an important part of younger section of our team because she rides nicely, but i think we have all collectively decided its just not ok and not worth it to keep her in. More than anything she needs to learn that there are gonna be consequences if you do something like that. Plus its not like there isnt a waiting list of about 30 kids that dream of being on the team, to be honest we dont need her. Especially if this keep shappening.

Riding nicely doesn't mean a thing if she can't respect her team. I am so sorry you are having to go through this, I would absolutely be seeing red if someone handled any of my mares without permission. A lesser rider with respect and common sense would be much better than her. Thistleberry Farm said: i know, right. Hell at a friend of mine's barn (He will board other people's stallions, but rules are in place for them) if anyone was caught by him, his wife/kids, me, or one of the more expericenced grooms doing something they shouldn't be doing then they were out of there quickier than I can bake a cake. He didn't give second chances esp. when someone was mucking around with one of his show horses. I was the only one out side of family that could work with any of his horses, mare, gelding, or stallion without permission because I knew what I was doing (and I was a family friend all my life to them), and I followed the check list he had in place. One kid was pissed at me for exercising a very expensive warmblood stud, and he went running to my friend and said he could ride the horse. Both my friend and I looked at this kid and said hell no at the same time. After I put Storm back, this little asswipe took him out of the stall, tacked him up, and tried to jump him before anyone caught him. Storm ditched the kid into a ditch and took off down a busy road. Needless to say that kid was chucked out of the stable that day and parents were sued. Parents tried to counter sue until they saw the list of the crap their kid had pulled. The kid's older sister still boards her quarter horse mare there, but her brother isn't allowed on property, and from what I heard he still pitches a fit and says he's a better rider than everyone there. With me, my friend, his family, and about 20 other stablehands there we have over 400 years experience working with horses. Heck I'm still learning something new every time I go there.
