Ugh, so this weekend almost everyone at my barn has been at a horse show so there's me and probably 3 other people still there. Which is nice because it means the barn is quiet but we also have to turn the horses out, bring them in, feed them, and basically do almost everything for the horses, usually done by whoever's around, can be 10 or so people that do it, done by 4.

And yesterday when I went to ride of course I couldn't find the horse I was leasing because someone else had turned him out in the wrong pasture on almost the complete other side of the property. He usually is either in his stall or a different one in the barn, or 2 different pastures both close to the barn, but no, he had to be in a complete different spot.
And so then as I'm brushing him I start having really bad allergies, probably caused by something I walked past, and I'm sneezing and my throat is sore but I can't just leave because he needs the excercise because I wasn't able to get out there Friday. When I'm actually in the arena they were better but still awful.

And then this stupid cat decided to run right under his hooves when I was trying to get him to pick up the correct lead canter and so he breaks to a fast trot and starts chasing the cat, luckily it got out of the arena but that could have ended badly.

When I'm done and put him back in his stall I'm feeling better but still awful so I decide to go home to get some medicine and then bring the horses in. Well, of course there was no medicine and I didn't have time to run to the drug store so I just left it.

And I was okay the rest of the day but I woke up this morning and was just feeling like shit, my nose was running and my throat was killing me, it hurt to swallow anything. So I ran to the store to get medicine but then can't swallow the pill for some reason, so I had to get a chewable kind.

And I don't know why I did that, none of the medicine works very well but I guess anything is fine.

So now I told my friend I'd go golfing with her because it's her birthday and then I have to go and do most of the afternoon chores at the barn by myself.

So yeah that was my weekend

Ugh, I know pretty much how that feels. My barn is off showing meanwhile I TOTALLY somehow forgot about talking leasing a horse for the show season, and now it's just a few people there, and apparently they don't have time for guests. It sucks when the barn cats go crazy. I've accidentally almost ran over one multiple times before, because they think they can just run around forever. Also, I've had really bad experience with seasonal allergies, and working outdoors can be an absolute nightmare for that.
