04:24:59 Void Malign Homeopathy is modern day snake oil through and through. |
04:24:38 Im Elf Buckeye I have fabulous insurance. I still get treated like garbage |
04:24:30 Celeste 🌕 So- may our digize and Copaiba on tummy here in a sec |
04:24:22 Void Malign Well, there's also the risk you're not going to get what's on the tin.
But yeah. It wasn't something I wanted to do and I only did it to shut them up. |
04:24:00 Celeste 🌕 I mean I have been ill from prescription meds too. My diabetes meds can make me vomit. So I use oils to help with nausea for that. Right now I am cramping in the stomach. |
04:23:54 Im Elf In homeopathy It is Like cures like”—the notion that a disease can be cured by a substance that produces similar symptoms in healthy people. |
04:22:46 Buckeye! I do know folks who use both oils and prescription meds. No judgement either way.
But for me, dropping the meds was partially wanting to get away from them, but mostly driven by lack of insurance and the fact that Drs treated non-insured like they were less than human, in general. So getting prescriptions renewed was getting nearly impossible. It was a blessing, in hindsight. But to each his own. I will still tout the benefits of alternatives and let folks make up their own minds. |
04:22:45 Im Elf Panther Agreed. Herbal remedies are just like prescribed medicine tho To be honest. Taken wrong or the wrong dosage can make a person very sick. |
04:21:17 💠Pretty Poni SilverDawn- that is chrimera |
04:21:06 Void Malign ...Well, generally, when someone ends up nauseous and throwing up, they're not going to be wanting a retrial lmfao |
04:20:44 Celeste 🌕 Oh yeah. My skin is dry as crap sometimes. Constantly using lotion. It is supposed to be fine by 30. I am 26 and still going strong with it. So we shall see. I want it gone, because I want a tattoo on my arms lol |
04:20:30 Lurker-Penny-Pella Mythy! Is that a bad thing? |
04:19:10 Im Elf Celeste Poor thing shes got in on her checks, so her face looks bumpy. Her ped said it's using lotion And managing her dry skin. We use her special lotion twice a day, every day. Still nothing |
04:19:08 Buckeye! A guy working on our farm taking out black walnut trees was on a different job and had something big and heavy fall on his arm. He was having issues working here that day, and I asked if he would show me his arm/wrist/hand.
It was so swollen, and it was COLD. The swelling was so tight I don't think he was getting enough blood supply. He refused to go to the ER (typical) So I asked if he wanted to try my Copiaba and Cool Azul. He did. Within 30 minutes the guy was back to driving in metal T-posts with a big heavy metal post driver and said it didn't hurt anymore. The swelling was improving and his skin was warming to the touch again. I sent him home with those products.
I have so many success stories like that it is crazy. The stuff works! |
04:18:40 Lurker-Penny-Pella Elf <3 <3 <3
Void Alright, to each their own then |
04:18:27 Celeste 🌕 for those curious- this is their Percheron team in Mona Utah! I am sending Facebook link -Click- |

I think the easiest way to deal with that is just figure out what you want to do, keep the horses that will help you get there, and yeet the rest into an auction.

To me it sounds like you need to downsize to a micro program.
I see no reason to stop breeding entirely, espescially if it is going to take all of the joy out of the game for you. This is a game, theres no point in playing if it isnt fun!
Id say keep max 10 horses, unless you somehow have like a store of 20 WWWs. Keep the WWE combos and maybe a few strong WEE combos, one stallion, and yeet the rest.
Especially with TBs, you wont get anywhere if you dont have money. Every mediocre horse in your barn is eating away at your funds every breeding season and time you pay your riders, and chances are, they arent really going to shoot your program forward. Keep a handful, have just a few strong matches each year, and show show show to make up those funds!
Its less stressful, more productive, and still keeps some joy in the game. You've got this, dont give up!

I agree with Sagamore Farms about downsizing enough so you can still breed and enjoy the game. Sagamore Farms said: To me it sounds like you need to downsize to a micro program.

I would also highly reccomend you start building a show string of geldings. They are longlasting, great money earners, and are well worth the effort! Edited at June 11, 2021 11:29 PM by Silver Isle Eventing
