My freaking horse is driving me crazy lately. A few weeks ago, he pulled a hind shoe. This would be on a Monday. (He never pulls shoes, much less hind ones). So, he gets 4 days off until the farrier is out for the rest of the horses on Thursday. Go to ride him on Friday, he's off in the left canter. Call the equine massage lady, she can't make it out until Wednesday. Ok, cool, he gets another 5 days off. She comes out, London is super tight everywhere so he gets the full deal with lights and lasers an all that (She's very good at her job, and I really trust her). She discovers that his hip/pelvis is way out of whack and refers me to the guy that does chiro for her horses when they need it. He comes out on Friday. I have London in early, groomed, fed etcetera, he's perfectly happy and falling asleep. Go to meet the guy at the end of our mile-long driveway since he's never been here before. I'm gone 15 minutes tops. I come back with chiro guy in tow, and London is being a complete idiot, literally in a lather, running around kicking and striking out with his front feet. Decide that he's colicing and give him some banamine. Chiro guy is VERY nice, quiet and patient. Waits until London is a happy camper and falling asleep and does his thing with him. Great! 3 days off and we're ready to go, right? I go out today (Monday) and bring London and his herd in from pasture. He goes bucking and bouncing in, perfectly sound the whole way in left lead canter (Yay! Sound horse!) Catch up to him at the barn, something looks off.... The ass pulled his other hind shoe. -.- Sooo, now I'm waiting to hear back from the farrier as to what day I can meet him with my turd of a horse who is supposed to go to our first event in 2 years in the middle of next month. Sigh. I love London, but there are some days I want to strangle him. Congrats if you made it to the end of this lol, here's a pic of the asshole at our last event together for a reward, I guess. It can be a reward or a punishment, however you want to look at it xD And a few more, just because he's a cute asshole lol |

Thanks! I'm super glad that the massage and chiro worked and that he's sound again. I just wish that I could ride him lol! xD |

My last OTTB was horrible about pulling shoes, always at least one between each shoeing lol, even with quarter clips xD Thankfully, London kept his shoes on over the weekend and stayed sound so I was able to have a wonderfully relaxed flat work session with him this afternoon <3 |
