I'm kinda fustrated about this right now. I'm in my last year of high school and I finished a biology assessment about 4 weeks ago. I sent it to my teacher asking for feedback saying I have finished but would really appreciate feedback before she moderates it. I get an email back saying that she has marked it and is now moderating it. I immediately assume that my report must be ok. Now here's the issue next year I am planning on further continuing my studies in biology at Uni and have high expectations for myself in the subject as up to this point it's the only subject that I have managed to get all excellence in. Now this afternoon I get a response back saying congrats you got a merit which is below what I had aimed for. And well I'm quite upset about it. I'm not sure who to blame if I'm just not smart enough or if my teacher didn't give enough guidance. Usually my science teachers are very good at giving feedback on my reports and usually check it right before we submit just to give comments but I received nothing from my biology teacher throughout the whole process and she barely put much input into helping us as a class when teaching the topic. So now I'm not sure what I'm going to do with Uni when I haven't been able to achieve what I wanted.

Can you do a redo? If you've been asking for guidance and feedback and not receiving it it's absolutely not your fault you haven't been getting that.

Well my teacher replied this morning and apologised saying that she didn't actually look at it and just marked it and realised she made a mistake because she thought she had previously given feedback which she hadn't. So she said I am allowed to rewrite the whole thing which is a little dissappointing as I don't know if I'll be able to with my other assesments due because otherwise she can't change anything now that its been moderated.
